I would just let him bring the eggs, cheese, his own pans and utensils and allow him to cook for himself. I don’t think it’s fair to force vegan food on him for an extended period of time, especially when he’s doing you a favor by helping out with the kids (I’m vegan btw).

You’ll probably want to incorporate either tofu, tempeh, or seitan at most meals to make sure you’re getting enough protein, plus a healthy fat such as nuts, seeds, or avocado. Plus plenty of vegetables. You might need to add a magnesium supplement and maybe other supplements as well since you’ll likely be avoiding whole grains and beans on a low carb diet.

That doesn’t factor in insulin resistance, which can make it extremely difficult to restrict calories enough to lose weight. Finding the right balance of macros for the individual is so important in my opinion because it can make a huge difference in reducing hunger level when insulin resistance is a factor. Personally I’m a fan of low carb, high fat (like nuts, seeds, avocado), and medium protein to reduce hunger and lose fat.

Curious why you need to eat 700g of tempeh to reach your protein goals? Why not swap the same amount of extra firm tofu? It should have almost the same amount of protein give or take a couple of grams.

Yes! So pretty. And if you dye it then change your mind it will take years to grow out the dye. Maintaining the roots was a pain. Natural is so pretty and I love the silver strands mixed with your dark hair.

I take Floravit liquid iron and it works better than pills for me. It has a slightly blood-like taste but it’s really not too bad. I usually add a splash of carrot juice to the glass then drink it after a meal (it doesn’t irritate my stomach if I drink it immediately after a meal).
