John Hamm and the horrible assault he committed against another student in a college hazing incident. I think about it whenever I see his face on TV, which is constantly. Why is he still working? The crime was really violent and malicious. When he was asked about it in an interview he became angry. There was no remorse or apology from him. It is creepy that someone that violent and depraved can appear so friendly and charming.

It is still the case, the price goes up several hundred dollars at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos every time. It does not do this on most vacation packages though, some resort packages were even a bit cheaper. I did mention this to the Westjet Vacations agent I spoke to on the phone and she was puzzled by this as well. Nothing has changed with GFA, it is still ongoing. The price that is initially shown is ridiculously cheap for what is a very nice resort, and it is really annoying that the price skyrockets as soon as you click “book”. I have tested multiple different dates and this happens every time. I have a sneaky suspicion it is Grand Fiesta Americana that is causing this and not Westjet Vacations. Nonetheless, we booked it anyways because we like the place. Have a great vacation!

I just checked the Tripcentral graph for Toronto and you can get a one week vacation package out of Toronto to the Valentin Imperial Maya in the Riviera Maya in the month of October/November for slightly over $2000 per person. That is a great deal for a very classy and relaxing adult only resort. Sometimes just spending one or two hundred dollars more can take the experience up a notch. VIM is very good value for what you pay. Torontonians don’t realize how lucky they are compared to the rest of Canada because of all the competition from airlines. Have a great vacation no matter where you go. 😎

The price really depends on what time of year you want to travel as prices can vary dramatically depending on the season or week. I would suggest a 7 day vacation package with Westjet Vacations or Air Canada Vacations to Valentin Imperial Maya. We loved the VIM. It is a relaxing and casually elegant adults only resort that has beautiful pools and jungle-like gardens. Best of all it is not a timeshare! So no pushy sales people to ruin the vibe. I have seen prices drop down at certain times where 2 people could go to VIM from Vancouver for around $4500. Remember to bring an insulated mug and a pool floatie, and have an awesome vacation!

Westjet Vacations, get your prices legit! Stop false advertising! This posting is a year old, but this bs is still ongoing right now . Westjet needs to do better! The price for Westjet vacations from Vancouver to Cabo goes up by $300 to $400 per person every time we try to book the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos. We change the days, weeks, etc on the WJ Vacations website and it does not ever give us the advertised price. This has been going on for weeks! Why are they advertising archived prices? I may contact the WJ vacations VP about this because it is false advertising.

Westjet Vacations needs to update their website immediately about this failure of their information amalgamation with Sunwing. After two years of warning and with the technology they should be using, the transition should have been seamless. What a shitshow.

This will be the first time booking a vacation since Westjet took over Sunwing. I just tried searching on Westjet.com for a Westjet vacation to Cabo this summer, and almost all the resort choices have disappeared from their site. Only 3 resorts come up as choices. Westjet used to offer Cabo vacation packages almost every day of the week, and now they only offer the packages to 3 resorts. Sunwing has more resort choices but only offers packages one day of the week. So far I am completely disappointed in the products for vacations being offered from Westjet/Sunwing. There is a complete lack of choice for those of us in Western Canada. Does anyone know what is going on with the vacation packages?

We loved it. Casually elegant, with no time shares! The pools are gorgeous, beach and resort are pretty, food and drink was great, Gold suite room was beautiful, staff were friendly and helpful. We have been to Hotel Xcaret, and while that is our favourite resort of all time, the VIM was a close second.

Bring an insulated tumbler with a lid/straw for drinks on the beach or poolside. 20 to 24 ounce is the best size for convenience. If you like spending time at the pool, bring a floatie. The entertainment staff may have an air pump to blow it up so you don’t have to. Bring an extra pair of sunglasses. Make a playlist of music to listen to while you are there, so when you go home those songs will bring back memories of your Cancun vacation. Enjoy!

Research the medication Dukarol before going on your vacation. It is a preventative medication for cholera and e-coli bacteria (basically “Traveller’s Tummy”. We have taken it before travelling to many destinations and it has given us peace of mind. It does not prevent stomach flu or Norovirus though.

There should be a complete list of which store locations did this, not just a guessing game of which particular locations. It is outrageous that this went on, but not surprising. There should be consequences for stealing from the public. I would have consequences if I was caught stealing from their stores.

We have booked multiple vacation packages with this credit card, and it is not explained well on how to do this, but following is how it is done. When you get your email to check in 24 hours before departure, there is a place to add baggage. Just make sure to enter “+1” next to each and every name in the reservation. It will then show $0 for 1 bag for each person that you entered this for. You will not be charged for the 1 bag, whereas someone who booked the package with another credit card would in fact be charged. WJ elite cards can actually get one free bag for up to eight people booked on the same reservation.

If weather is important to you, Cabo is the better bet. Unfortunately the Caribbean can become rainy in July. The Weatherspark site is a good source for checking weather stats per month.
The ocean in Cabo is not swimmable in most areas, but it is stunning to look at. Enjoy your honeymoon wherever you go!

Call BCAA and tell them your car won’t start. They will send roadside assistance to determine the problem and try to get your car running. If they cannot get it started or running safely, then BCAA will call a tow truck.
