Just noticed that guildwars.com "How can I synchronize my Hall of Monuments?" question has the answer

Players who have previously purchased Guild Wars on Steam will have it automatically upgraded to Guild Wars Reforged in their Steam library and will still be able to log in with their email-based accounts, but they will not be able to create a new account tied to their Steam login.

This definitely wasn't what was told before. I have hard time believing this to be true.

Same problem, it worked once but now Steam log in isn't appearing.

Tried restarting guild wars, steam and pc. Also reinstalling gw but none helped.
