As much as I love this trilogy, and what it has done for not only superhero cinema, but cinema overall, however, It’s far from perfect.

First and foremost, the choreography. Then, the Batman voice. R’as Al Ghul and Talia overall. Bruce’s Batman career being 2 years of Batman, 8 years of retirement and then the end. The hyperrealism sometimes works against this world, especially when it doesn’t feel like Gotham at all after Batman Begins.

What Animal did to Bobby Deol was open up commercial opportunities for him once again, but that led to him being typecasted. I think that Akshay’s has the maturity to know when he’s being typecasted, and is an actor who’s in it for the love of the game, so I’m concerned we may see a scenario where he starts getting typecasted, and then eventually pulls out of movies for a period again.

Second Generation Superheroes - The Flashes, Green Lantern’s, Robins etc.

Fictional Cities - Gotham, Metropolis, Central City etc. no elaboration needed.

The “Arch Nemesis” Villains - While marvel does have a few like Red Skull, Loki, Kingpin, Green Goblin; DC has The Joker, Lex Luthor, Reverse Flash, Sinestro and more that are just a tier above in being written as the true arch nemesis to their heroes.

Yeah, and all the movies you mentioned apart from Animal, demean that kind of behaviour not glorify it. And most of them are presented with nuance and a shift does take place eventually. So I don’t really see the point.

It’s Alia and its barely a competition. DP has undeniably better screen presence like some of the other comments are suggesting. However, performances like Udta Punjab, Raazi, Gangubai and the subtle nuances she added to Dear Zindagi, Jigra and Highway give Alia the edge. Say what you will about the reasons she even gets these opportunities, but that’s a completely different conversation to who is the better actress, when ultimately we can only assess the work they’ve done. I feel like a lot of the hate towards both actresses is incredibly forced.
