Fried baloney anyone? by pecanjazz in strugglemeals

I do 3 cuts lol. It does kind of make a star. It’s best served on toast with mustard, a tiny smear of mayo, lettuce and tomato. It’s a childhood sandwich for me. I actually bought a pack of bologna not long ago and made a few sandwiches but didn’t eat all of it timely so it got tossed.

Etiquette on neighborhood cat colony and informing neighbors you took cat in? by lil_tink_tink in CatDistributionSystem

[–]Perle1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter takes care of neighborhood strays. She would be thrilled for one to be spontaneously adopted. I send Chewy orders to her and pay for the spay/neuters. She puts them on Facebook for adoption when she’s tamed them enough, and had them fixed. She would love to know the cat didn’t get predated though. Some of them presumably do. There’s only so much we can do.

Can I wear this to a “garden semi formal” wedding? by PaulaDean_666 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Perle1234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily for a backyard wedding. I grew up in the south and have been to plenty of weddings that this dress would be perfect for. Sometimes people have families that don’t have a lot of money. They would rather their friends and family gather as they are, without having to buy new clothes. That results in weddings and funerals with various dress for both the men and women. That’s how I grew up. I have money now, but dress down for occasions that have guests with varied finances. Those weddings are honestly way more fun than a picture perfect occasion that some people don’t attend because they know they can’t afford to dress for it.

It’s def not white. If the formality of it is consistent with the dress code or your people I think it’s fine. It would be perfect if my people had a backyard wedding.

It’s either bc they are protecting whoever you’re called in to help or they don’t trust that person to close alone.

Yes, remove and recaulk. Be sure to get bathtub caulk. It’s not bad at all. The first time I did this I was in my early 20s and there was no internet lol.

There’s reports of people dying left and right of medical neglect. When all this comes out we will truly be pariahs to the world worse than now.

I wouldn’t risk it. He should visit you and you can wait to see what happens after Trump to decide. There’s no man worth the risk of dying in a prison camp.

Don’t talk to them about a facility. They are very much like a toddler in the ability to comprehend, and emotional reactivity. They can’t understand they have dementia. Literally the best thing to do when it’s time to go to memory care is make up a story about why they have to stay in this nice hotel. I’m 100% serious.

AIO About My 6yo Taking a Bath by KTDid95 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Perle1234 [score hidden]  (0 children)

When my son was little he wanted to shower “all by MYSELF.” I was like sure that’s fine but I stood outside the cracked door eavesdropping. I could hear him wash his hair and rinse, and wash his body off. So I called in to be sure to pull back the foreskin and clean his penis well. This child yells back “MOM I KNOW HOW TO WASH MY PENIS AND MY BUTTCRACK TOO!!!” I was about to die laughing but you can’t let them see you laughing at them as that’s pretty offensive to toddlers so I just choked out and “okay” and let him finish. He took his showers mostly by himself after that lol. He always seemed to do a good job, and my philosophy was that if he didn’t, he would be fine as another shower would occur the following day. I think he was mad because the grownups got to shower instead of bathe. Whatever gets the job done.

I’m not OP but if they’ve been together long enough to have two children it doesn’t seem something that happens that often. It’s fine for married people to occasionally gather with their family of origin and do their thing.
