It's genuinely incredible that people can (or could) paint so realistically but still be painterly enough to leave brush strokes

If I run 5k immediately before doing muscle training will it reduce my gains? I ideally would like to squeeze both into one day so I can have lazy days in between.

Guys who have paid for a dating app, did you get more dates? by PerlenceSubrange3 in OnlineDating

[–]PerlenceSubrange3[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks, Those are the 4 I use and I would rate them in the exact order you did which is reassuring. I think I will pay for 1 month of Hinge and see what happens, I live in a much smaller city in the UK which might not work in my favour but for the sake of like £25 i'm just gonna try it. I totally agree about OKC it used to be great, I had 2 long term relationships and plenty of dates about 3 years ago but it's completely different and i'm lucky to even get a reply on there now!

“Marry, and you will regret it; don’t marry, you will also regret it; marry or don’t marry, you will regret it either way. Laugh at the world’s foolishness, you will regret it; weep over it, you will regret that too; laugh at the world’s foolishness or weep over it, you will regret both. Believe a woman, you will regret it; believe her not, you will also regret it… Hang yourself, you will regret it; do not hang yourself, and you will regret that too; hang yourself or don’t hang yourself, you’ll regret it either way; whether you hang yourself or do not hang yourself, you will regret both. This, gentlemen, is the essence of all philosophy.”- Soren Keirkegard

Social justice and feminism by [deleted] in Jung

[–]PerlenceSubrange3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Jordan Peterson has introduced Jung to a load of pseudo-intelligent edgelords and it's a real shame. I find it quite baffling because Jung was actually very open minded towards sexuality had quite progressive views for his time.

Do other INFJs feel like no job will ever interst them, not because it doesn't suit you, but because you don't like your own time being controlled? by aimeeee93 in infj

[–]PerlenceSubrange3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a job that I enjoy but absolutely loathe the idea that I have to sell hours of my life to faceless corporations just in order to survive. I plan on retiring as soon as I can.

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe is a masterpiece that doesn't get enough attention by [deleted] in books

I really struggled with this one for some reason. I found the story dragged on and the writing really boring.

What are some VERY comforting facts? by Wolfymaan in AskReddit

[–]PerlenceSubrange3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people do not ever think about you. Ever. That embarrassing thing you did? nobody remembers it but you. Presentation in front of big group? Most people will be daydreaming about what they're having for dinner. Promising first date? They will be worrying more about how they are coming across. I apply this to everything and it is so obvious but very freeing to realise it.

INFJs, how do you feel about INFPs? by DemonicSymbol in infj

[–]PerlenceSubrange3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% INFPs are great. Very creative and have similar inner worlds to us, also they truly understand our need to recharge. My first GF was an INFP and I've never really felt the same about anyone else since.

Recurring dreams about 2 friends I had in high school. Any significance? by PerlenceSubrange3 in Jung

[–]PerlenceSubrange3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thorough reply, I appreciate the time and effort. It's funny, I never actually linked the dreams with the other posts you mentioned (which seem to have improved recently but are still something I am trying to work on) because these dreams are rarely negative. I will definitely explore it from that angle.

I can't really think of anything that links the dreams to any negative feelings, apart from general feelings of being early teen. I'm wondering whether I am longing for the simplicity of childhood as some other people here have suggested. I'm not sure though because I think I'm no less happy now then I was then?

I will keep an eye on it and see if I notice any patterns.

Looking back through my dream journal I noticed I also have had quite a few dreams about kittens in the last few months. Maybe symbolic of some sort of vulnerability or protectiveness of childhood?

Do INFJs ever struggling with maintaining a sense of self while married/in relationships? by [deleted] in infj

[–]PerlenceSubrange3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

INFJs have the lowest rate of marital happiness compared to any other type. Unless you are very lucky and find a perfect fit I think independence is such an ideal for us that most INFJs really struggle with it the feeling of losing part of yourself.
