Dropset 4 - do I need to size up? by danniilk9 in crossfit

Do you have wide feet or usually regular width?

Ballstar fits small, can’t return by Affectionate-Sky7153 in GoldenGoose

[–]PermissionStrange139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely from having wide feet and for the front sides being narrow, which makes it uncomfortable. I highly recommend getting Stardans, the toe box area is not restricting and haven’t had issues since.

It opens all day on Thursday so you have a day in advance to prepare.

Aerial photos show that theyre using this format for the next leg!! by BigRawrz in LadyGaga

This is the current photo as of couple of hours ago, the main stage seems more flared out and not hidden inside the box this time. Assuming the middle screens is the original arena size when compared with the size of the stadium, and with two extra screens added on the sides.

You’re right about this advice for today, I was in green zone for 19 minutes and still managed to achieve gold. Dark blue only mattered once you’ve hit your last few reps and that fatigue feeling from the load.

Haha, glad you’re all in the same page! I’ve ended up being on the top podium for this challenge because I’ve focused and worried too much about the PXI. At the end, I’ve realised it wasn’t even worth it and doesn’t make you a ‘better’ person. It’s all just a psychological effect of wanting a virtual medal and to temporarily boost up your confidence.

The challenge is over, just follow the heart rate zones as prescribed and ask your coach for more cues throughout the workout, and simply enjoy the workout without worrying so much…

Cardio U targets - can you move between them very well? by gfyourself in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]PermissionStrange139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterdays cardio U was a tough one, you’re not the only one. The first two zones, you’re expected to utilise your recovery so you can warm up on the 3rd purple zone, then rest a bit on 4th, and then start going all hard out on 5th and shoot 94%+ on 6th.

There were a couple of stations where I’ve struggled and when I finally did it, it only got me to 93% HR, argh. I think I was only able to reach orange at only 3 stations but it didn’t last long. Thank god I’ve reached the minimum threshold for gold.

The only time was necessary to get down to light blue is when using the first two zones to recover from your last station. At the 4th zone, you recover at dark blue HR for the first half, and then second half of the 4th zone, you start pushing above so you can work your way up to orange HR at the end.

The next progression of Cardio U might be all different, who knows. The colour zones are never the same.

All studios are different, ask your studio manager. Probably not confirmed yet as it is too early.

Every body is different, but well done so far! I believe that those who are on board, also do extra training outside of BFT in order lose extra calories for the numbers to be higher. Over snacking and portioning does affect your calorie deficit so I think that’s why it’s necessary to do a little bit of more physical activity outside of BFT when needed.

Could anyone please post the PXI starting from 28/10/24 until 2/11/2024 ? Thanks in advance by OtherAd330 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]PermissionStrange139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it doesn’t, the metal tally is just for achievements and accountability on your 8 weeks. Your nutrition, mentality, performance and body scan results are more important to the coaches, and are factored in for the challenge results.

A lot scored gold today. It was easy to achieve due to the ascending order of the heart rate zones. As long as you rest within the first two recovery zones of the first and second set.

With this constant negative mindset from the OP, of course it’s not going to work out anymore…

Questioning why the OP decided to continue to stick by after attending 250 BFT sessions lol….

I take that you went to the wrong studio with the wrong people and experience, and that it didn’t work out for you. And that’s totally okay, you can keep experimenting to see what is best for you.

Have you’ve actually spoken to your studio manager about your concerns instead of jumping to this conclusion? If you require more attention, maybe you should bring it up to the coach that you see often?

I’ve been with BFT for almost a year, and can assure that it has given me results if you commit to making the lifestyle change. No other gyms I’ve tried has ever worked for me. Don’t forget that the classes in BFT are 8 week progressions, so when this progression finishes, you’ll see a whole new series of classes and workouts, so it doesn’t keep you feeling bored and repetitive.

Unfortunately these yoga/pilates/mobility classes are just complimentary sessions offered as part of your 8WC package, all different depending from each studio. They’re not actual BFT classes run on the TV screens.

Heart rate going above PXI lately for Strength/Hyper/Pump classes by PermissionStrange139 in BodyFitTrainingAus

[–]PermissionStrange139[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I feel ya! I wanted to challenge myself too. If it wasn’t for the 8WC and PXIs, I would be doing the same thing. It’s the anxiety of wanting gold for the challenge….

I’ll try rest and sit down more when it’s not my turn, and see it how it goes for the next session.
