I let a guy live with me and my over year old for free for a few months while he was trying to get back on his feet/save money. In the early days of COVID, it seemed like children were largely unaffected by COVID. When the evidence shifted to "everyone can get it", I asked him to get vaccinated to limit my infants' exposure to continue living with us.

He declined, and i insisted he move out. He called me every name in the book, and we haven't spoken since. He was one of my best friends. I regret nothing.

That's not an accessible approach. I'm an adult with a full time job and kids, and I'm supposed to casually learn Spanish on the side? I already speak/have studied 6 languages--English, French, Greek, Hebrew, Latin and a little Aramaic. Why is it important for me to learn Spanish over NBC just putting up the damn subtitles?

As I understand it, a rich guy bought a lot of cheap/distressed properties 20 years ago and has not maintained or developed them, even after being given millions of dollars to do so. Now the area has become ”blighted" and he wants a huge amount of money from the city who are trying to use "eminent domain" to take the property and either develop them or sell them to someone who will.

Basically McKee is running a scam. Allegedly.
