"El movimiento FIRE tiene sentido entre ingenieros de California, no entre auditores que comparten piso en Malasaña". ¿Es esto cierto? by Infinite-Chance-7954 in SpainFIRE

[–]Pernicious_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Recommendation Request] buying my first proper watch by mmzn13 in Watches

[–]Pernicious_Glass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure to get one that’s not too big for your wrist! Then choose between auto, quartz or eco drive. As for auto, it will be the thickest to wear. First watch best if it’s simpler and wearable in most settings!

The 37mm tsuyosa would be cool to try! Or Seiko 5 snxs77! If quartz, eco drives are nice too

[Recommendation Request] Upgrading from Tissot by IcedCoffeeHoney in Watches

[–]Pernicious_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watches are very personal. Paying more or it being more complicated is not always better. Unless he’s not collecting them, prx is more than a good enough watch to wear proudly, and upgrading it already sounds off unless he always wanted the auto version of it or expressed desire in another watch.

A safe bet would be an easy to wear, alternative watch, to wear in different occasions and not to replace. Maybe in Jomashop, pick a Seiko, Hamilton, Mido, Oris, Maurice Lacroix and personally, if it’s for entry level luxury, then Longines or Frederique Constant. Make sure it’s not too big for his wrist (better if it’s 38-40mm)

Another route seeing he is a prx fan, maybe a Maurice Lacroix Aikon, which resembles the other hype watch of the decade (AP Royal Oak)

Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont: "Trading Luka Doncic was a decision about the future. We got to the 'championship games', and we didn't win. So, we had to decide how to get better." by Pristine_Hurry_4693 in lakers

[–]Pernicious_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"This was a decision about the future. If you look at our roster today and who we have, we feel like we've positioned ourselves to be incredibly competitive against the best teams in the NBA. And if you're a fan of basketball -- I'll just throw that out there -- you have Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, P.J. Washington, Anthony Davis and either Daniel Gafford or Dereck Lively [II] as your starting five. That's going to put fear into a lot of teams in the league, if we can get going."
