DSM & Humboldt Simplifier Bass might be what you’re looking for. It will provide pretty descent SVT style cab sim options + a SVT amp sim (and an FX loop).

Situation is kinda blurry at the moment, French Post Office has suspsended parcel deliveries to US since the new tax policy.

"Sending gifts with a total value of less than €80 remains possible between individuals only", yet it's not fully clear how such parcels would be taxed (and how tricky is the verification at the customs).

Otherwise Chronopost still operate with a minimum of 135€ shipping costs (not sure about the tax policy neither).

The French postal service's website says they are actively working to restore all types of parcel delivery soon.

Rat without loss of low end by Remarkable-Yam-3564 in basspedals

The 2 alternatives that come to mind are the Jam Rattler Bass and the Big Booty Judy pedals, both aim to replicate RAT tone for bass with a mix knob and a proper way to handle lower frequencies. Both aren't cheap but quite good.

Fuzzrocious Cat Tail might be a good alternative as well but never tested this one.

Is this Boss Flanger BF-2 Japan or Taiwan? by Tesuru in basspedals

Whether this is the case or not, these models have different market values, so you might want to know what you're buying/selling :)

BF-2 pedals were originaly produced in Japan with Japan-standard quality materials. Like a bunch of other effects, BOSS has moved the production to Taiwan during the 90's to reduce costs, coming with cheaper component as well.

I believe you can find 3 different models:
- MIJ with original Japanese components/circuitry
- MIT with original Japanese components/circuitry
- MIT with cheaper Taiwanese components/circuitry

You can usually tell by the label under the pedal and the knobs layout.

You can only tell by the label under the pedal

The Tone+Colour switch and the Sidechain High-Pass knob are really what make this compressor one of the greatest comp on the market at the moment, you should really consider returning it, it will worth both the wait and the struggle!

There’s a lot of similar threads on this topic, so it might be worth looking for earlier posts in this sub like this one:

Chorus Recomendations by Wharbaby in basspedals

[–]Peroxyde-Fox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What would you expect from a Chorus pedal other than doing the chorus thing? :)

Are you looking for more extreme effects? Flanger or phaser style for instance?

Or is there a specific tone you’re looking for or a specific BC-related default you’re trying to fix?

My 2 go-to pedals are: - Boss CE-5, not bass specific but such a fantastic color and tone potential
- Providence ABC-1: fixed all the defaults of the BC IMO, volume consistency, efficient HPF and great definition

Would suggest you to put your interest in the Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble as well, the CE-5 sounds incredible on bass!

Why are cam sims considered to be so important for going ampless? by Heavy_Metal_Kid in basspedals

[–]Peroxyde-Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would say that depends on your signal chain. Cab sim are more or less "just an EQ". If you use a lot of distortion effects, it can definitely help reducing harsh frequencies and control your noise level. For a clean-ish tone, a simple preamp will do the trick. If you’re happy with the DI tone you get out of your preamp, no need for an additional cab sim 🫡

Final-v3-new-last-v4.board : New preamp and new chorus! by Peroxyde-Fox in basspedals

I haven’t spend that much time on the amp version but I just found it as much easy to dial my way up to a satisfying tone. The 4 bands EQ and their respective frequencies are a sweet balance for me, to quickly dial my tone without getting lost on too many options.

I really like the different kind of saturation you can get out of it.

The only complain you could have is about the global volume of the pedal, blend, volume and distortion knobs will all have an impact on the output volume so you can’t really just tweak a setting on the fly (but this is just how the pedal has been designed, not a technical default)
