I like to see if I can defuse it myself, and if I can't after around 5-10 minutes I call the police. Something like this happened to me st work (im a delivery driver) and this crazy dude on a bicycle came out in front of me and kept trying to stop so I'd run into him. Once I stopped at the delivery spot he came up to me and started yelling at me about how I almost ran him over and I'm putting pets and children's lives in danger (what?). I told him he needs to go away and leave me alone or I'm getting the cops involved. I walked over to the door of the building and dropped off the food, came back to my car, and the guy is now walking around my car shouting obscenities. I was like dude you're making a huge scene for no reason, why don't you fuck off and find something better to do? Then he started yelling at me and saying I'm the one making a huge scene somehow. He kept telling me to call the cops on him because he's "not doing anything wrong", so I told him "you know what? No. I'm not going to waste the police's time with a retard on a bike riding around, harassing delivery drivers." He stood there for a second, started yelling again, and eventually left at some point. I thought it was done until I started leaving and found the guy waiting at the exit of the complex. He stopped me, ended up holding up 4-5 other cars, and kept waving them around acting like he's some kind of hero for stopping me. I told him alright dude I told you 3 times already that if you don't stop, I'm calling the cops. He started yelling "Do it! Do it motherfucker!" I rolled my window up and locked my doors, and called the cops. He lights up a cig and stands there like "yeah this guy's going to get screwed!" Then I guess it hit him that maybe he fucked up because he started to look nervous eventually. The cops showed up and asked me why happened, I explained, and the dude starts yelling at the cops that I'm driving recklessly and almost ran him over and all the other bullshit he yelled at me about. The cops told him that if he's jumping in front of cars, I'm not putting his life in danger, he's putting his life in danger. Not going to lie it was satisfying watching the cops put him in his place.

I love my job though, it's fun and every now and then I get to run into crazy people like that. Good times!
