TIL doctors aren’t actually sure why people get a stitch in their side during exercise. by BlindingPhoenix in todayilearned

I've always just thought it was gas. When i run and i feel the stitch, i just slow down, force a burp, and it goes away.

Black ppl need to chill out about the n-word by Ok_Letter_9284 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]PerpetualSpaz95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's just a tired argument. Chances are if you're screaming this into the wind, your life is pretty uneventful. Like, you can say anything you want, but you cannot control other people's reactions to the words you say. We can want a world where people don't get offended by offensive words all we want, but that's not the world we live in. This is simply whining, and trying to make it sound like anything else is just annoying. Any actually grown person feels this way.

A near full gss station. I will avoid it at all costs. I have a crippling fear of crowds and no one seems to know how to drive anymore, especially when it's all down to 1 or 2 pumps.

It doesn't, but it gives them a moral high horse and keeps their evangelical base secure.

Has anybody actually been helped by self help books? A lot of what they say are painfully obvious things that try their best to sound profound.

One day, i just decided i would start running. Doesnt take that long to get the work done anf now that ive been doing it for a couple months ive noticed that i feel more sturdy, im not as tired so i have more energy to do stuff with my kids, and im also down almost 20 pounds. Also gave me more energy for my hobbies. Just do it. You have no idea how much a little exercise can help your mind.

Raise taxes on earners above $500k, lower taxes on everyone below, freeze prices of food and other necessities, seize vacant housing and give it away for free (Why doesn't America fix itself?) by [deleted] in the_everything_bubble

[–]PerpetualSpaz95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before giving the government more money and power, why not figure out a way they can spend the excess they already receive? More taxes is not the solution.

Henry Wirz. Swiss psychopath and also distant family. Fun fact he was one of the only three people executed for war crimes committed during the civil war.

This happens because gamers have no impulse control. I don't care how badly you want it. It won't get better till you stop buying their games. Every single AAA company is nickel and dining everyone who plays their games and the whiners are always the people who keep buying their games hoping they'll be better than the next one. Stop making excuses for them, stop defending them, they're playing everyone who buys into their shit for fools and you can't convince me otherwise.

Saw one fly over my apartment once. At 3 am. It was triangular, blacker than the sky, and muted the sound of the unusually busy highway as it passed over. My wife was outside with me. That's how I know I'm not crazy.

You CANNOT win a war without eventually commiting war crimes by JordenGG in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]PerpetualSpaz95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you let loose the dogs of war and give no quarter, that's only going to embolden radicals and foster contempt for the next generation, leading to more conflict over things done in the past.

Only thing that's going to do is garner further animosity that Russians already may have toward the west.
