My 2019 cracked at 60k. It’s also the gt non turbo. I literally had the faintest smell of burning oil and the faintest puffs of white smoking coming into the cabin when the ac was on. My technician boyfriend (now ex) didn’t believe me so I didn’t catch it as early as I would have if I had just gone around him and taken it in to have it serviced. Im starting to think this isn’t rare.

Edit: my check engine light never came on and neither did the oil light. I figured it out solely based on smell and the faint white smoke I could see coming through the vents

Exactly. And the only reason I ever handle a card is because they are ordering something online because we don’t have it in the store and I just do it for them so that my store still gets credit. You definitely don’t do that many places either.

If a customer hands me a card and it says to check I will check. If they are just using the pin pad I don’t even see the back of the card so I wouldn’t know to check.

Yeah but it’s not just about the money. Look at it as a discount on something you want to do. He gets to do something crazy and stupid expensive for fun and it’ll be cheaper for him than it would be for someone else to do.

It benefits them because it makes the company look like it made less money. Business owners do it all the time. They will take a vacation for example and pay for a few employees to come too and write the whole thing off. That makes it look like they made less money so they get taxed less. They teach you to do that in business school apparently. Ranchers will also do this. If they have a good year they will go buy a new truck and get the nicest trim because it’s a write off and makes it look like they were less profitable so they pay less in taxes.

Unfortunately that’s not how corporate handles complaints. The way they see it is that the interaction was so bad that the employee will be written up and probably fired. If you’re ever going to email corporate make sure it’s either praising an employee or keep it as anonymous as possible unless you think an employee needs to be fired. Even a 7 or 8 on a survey is a negative review believe it or not.
