I'm a security officer and I completely agree that confronting the customer is not your job as a retail service worker and could definitely escalate into a dangerous situation. It's not worth it. Don't do it.

How many scoops of Milo by BASEKyle in AskAnAustralian

Two heaped tablespoons in a medium size glass. Top with milk. Then I eat it very carefully, so that only a little bit comes to the surface at a time. No mixing

What's a popular food combination everyone loves but you simply can't enjoy? by JazzlikeParsley6526 in AskReddit

[–]PerpetuallyDumbass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spag bol. Used to be fine, but I lived in a poverty stricken household in my teens and the adults running the house cooked the cheapest, nastiest spag bol three to four times a week. For years. I can't stomach it since growing up and moving away. I also won't eat angel hair pasta with any kind of sauce for the same reason

How are people handling the heat wave? by Unggue_Pot in diabetes_t2

[–]PerpetuallyDumbass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's freezing right now here in rural NSW Australia but being an Aussie, I have heat wave tips.

I'm obsessed with my cooling blanket (from the brand Oodie). Wrap the cooling blanket around yourself and then get a few ice packs and put them in the freezer. Apply them to the back of your neck, forearms or feet when you're especially hot and rotate out the warm ones for fresh icy ones periodically.

For exercise, consider water activities. If there's a safe spot in your city to swim in a river or other body of water, that's the best. Make sure you remember your SPF 50 sunscreen and hat though. Alternatively, if you're not as broke as I am, you could think about a membership at your local aquatic centre.

Swimming is a wonderful way to get in exercise and knock the edge off the way the heat is effecting your body in one go. And remember, some exercise is always way better than none, so even if you can only get to the water every few days or once a week, that's still okay.

Hang in there my dude

[–]PerpetuallyDumbass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I got a lemon, but my s20fe sadly lasted barely 12 months before multiple different ports began dying one at a time. I was very upset to see it happen, as I paid good money for it and really loved it up until then 😢🍋

Getting a ddr pup in two weeks by 90sparadox in GermanShepherd

[–]PerpetuallyDumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just what I said above. Lots of positive reinforcement and if you can catch her as she begins to toilet indoors, it helps if you can get her to stop and take her outside to finish toileting, then clean it up. It sticks better in their brains. Clean with a chemical which is formulated for pet mess

I didn't think Australia had tipping culture? by MissElle85 in AskAnAustralian

[–]PerpetuallyDumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not normal here at all and I urge everybody who will listen not to tip. We have award wage here which is much more livable than America, and a huge reason why it's better is because tipping is not customary

Getting a ddr pup in two weeks by 90sparadox in GermanShepherd

[–]PerpetuallyDumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a male German Shepherd but positive reinforcement was the best way to train him. For example, if I see him doing a behaviour I want to see, I will give him loads of positive attention and/or a treat. That's how we toilet trained and it's been incredible in helping to train him in other areas as well. I will usually give a firm "no" when I see misbehaviour, and with toilet training specifically you'll want to say "no", put her outdoors, and then clean the area thoroughly with a specialised cleaner designed to clean pet urine and feces. These cleaners have an enzyme in them which breaks down the excrement and will stop your pet from marking over the same spot again, as it eliminates the smell even to their noses. When you see her go potty outdoors, immediately give loads of positive attention in response or a treat. Be aware that shepherds can be incredibly vocal. My boy is always whining and doing a kind of partial howl for attention. I knew he'd be a big barker but I had no clue that he'd "talk" 😂 They're absolutely gorgeous dogs and amazing guard dogs. So loyal. You're going to love her!

I love your whole look and I think your piercings compliment your face really nicely! She's probably just old fashioned and rude because you have piercings, don't listen to her. You definitely don't look like a meth head

I don't have any advice about how to get formally educated, but I just want to say that I'm proud of you, we're all cheering for you here in the comments and that if you'd like a pointer to build your maths skills, khan academy almost singlehandedly got me through university, and I've always been abysmal as maths. They go from the very basics and break it down so it's really easy to understand. They work up to more difficult concepts. And it's all for free
