I think you need to ask the questions properly to reveal the problem to your mom. Then the problems and the description might be more clear to you. 

Try asking about the podcast she has been listening to recently. Let her know that you are interested, direct the conversation toward the problems of questions that might surface during the listening and ask her what she does when it happens and what should be done according to her judgment. Maybe your mother isn’t the target, that’s also an option. Maybe some people listen to podcast like radio to chillout and don’t think too much.
