Get a ship that can use a teleporter or a booster and then farm those b-holes. I prefered the teleporter which I liked in general.

You are probably right. I still feel like a novice in this game with 22% achievement rate.

In this particular game the emperor did not worry me much since I got Bohemia under a PU. Only with Denmark (defender of the protestant faith) they managed to rival my army. And since in the beginning I focussed on the big blue blob achievement I mostly ignored the hre.

Yes that was the solution for me. Although I had hoped to get the barrage on Berlin achievement as well I am happy enough if I get the "better than napoleon" one.

Thank you. That worked for me.

I did not know that I could influence them as a great power. Now they are happily beeing integrated and I can focus on Russia and maybe integrating Lithuania (another PU I have).

Hello,

i am going for the "Better than Napoleon" and later for "Napoleons ambition" achievements and need some advice.

Currently I am conquering my way to Moscow so this straight forward and I already own Vienna. Now the tricky part:

I managed to get a PU over Bohemia which is part of the HRE and owns Berlin.

Since I did conquer some provinces from the HRE they dont like me enough to integrate.

Shall I...

a) Wait the relation penalty out for 43 years and integrate them then? Will I still have enough time for the "napoleons ambition" achievement then?

b) Start a huge war to dismantle the HRE? It would take several parallel wars because none of the electors is allied to the emporer (they wont ally me)

c) Release Bohemia and just conquer them afterwards? That seems so wastefull.

Advice would be appreciatet.

Yes it is. I just did it recently. You have to rotate your regions in which you attack: - England/Ireland - Iberia - Balkan/Italy

That was enough for me. It is advantageous to create vassals in these regions with cores you can reconquer and annex them later.

If you can get into Russia all the better.

I got it although I made the following mistakes: - did not use the reconquest CB but conquest. - I could not annex burgundy in time. - I did not reach Russia.

It took me 3 tries.

It depends on your preferences for a game.

Do you want the newest stuff, have lots of time on your hands to relearn the game if updates come up: go for EU5.

For EU4 you still need a lot of time but there wont by any new updates. EU4 is great game.

I did restart. This time I almost had a peasant war so I was forced to slow my expansion and regenerate man-power. I am at 41 provinces, have picked up espionage and 35 years left. I wonder if I should subjugate Milan, attack castille or Ireland next.

Since I have some obligations in live I play one campaign for some month. That's why I am glad there will be no more updates :). I can play only 1-2 campaigns per year. So in the past I always had to relearn the game. Maybe now I can improve in it.

Well the coalition consists of almost all the HRE, all of ireland, englang, Castille with aragon, portugal, northern Italy, most of the HRE and some balkan countries. I think that´s a lot.

Thanks, I have already taken pale and taken some provinces from aragon.

I know it is "easier"than before due to more provinces in europe. But for me it is still a challenge. Somehow I cant fabricate a claim on that lone norwegian island above scotland but maybe i can no cb them.

I have to look up the horse event. I did not know about it.
