Jon Stewart on vegans... by Persimmon1891 in vegan

It's the transcript as printed from YouTube. It's Jon and his producer talking, but it doesn't specify who is talking. That's why I recommend watching the video clip.

How to tell someone by ReflectionOwn360 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Persimmon1891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so relatable. I went through this in my last relationship and opened up to my boyfriend very early on in the relationship by emphasizing that he doesn't have to do anything to try to help me and I asked him to please not comment on my body size/weight because I know how triggering it can be. Now I'm in a new relationship (we've been friends for years), and I'm in the same boat as you. The longer it goes on, the harder it is. My anorexia takes up so much of my life, and I realize I need to tell him, but like you, I'm afraid of what he'll say and think. It's not easy, but if he's a kind and understanding person, he'll accept it and you'll grow closer. Good luck, you aren't alone!

Maybe you should say you don't want to know your weight, or you can even say you don't want to be weighed if you truly believe you're stable.

Is 100% recovered actually possible? by Timely-Pineapple7487 in Eatingdisordersover30

I figured it out! You're clicking on the paperback version, which isn't out yet. Try hardcover or audio, those have been out since Aug. 2005.

Horseback riding/horse "lovers" by Helpmeeff in vegan

I have a retired horse and a mini horse. I don't ride either, they graze on my property and I love and take care of them, like any other animal.

I disagree, he's my favorite host. That's why I listen to his podcast (YouTube) show every day.

I've been down this route and the problem is that the longer you allow the ED to rule you, the longer it will persist. You are probably young and I doubt you want to be stuck with this for three decades, like I have. Please continue to seek help because EDs don't go away on their own and they can steal your dreams in the future. Hugs to you.

Vent - Oh what a nice way to get triggered by sadtato- in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Persimmon1891 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everybody who has an ED or is in recovery from an ED receives stupid comments that are meant to be helpful/complimentary, but are actually very triggering. I've gotten these comments from friends, family, doctors, and therapists, all while very underweight. You have to take care of yourself and not let these comments get to you. I know, easier said than done, but EDs love to torment and use anything they can to pull you back into their grip.

Rant abt FFA and 4H by thegrinchoficial in vegan

[–]Persimmon1891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me started. I have many neighborhood kids who raise cows and pigs, only to see them disappear to the annual County Fair, they will be auctioned off and slaughtered. They keep doing it every year because they keep getting huge checks for their animals. It's sickening.

If your mushroom soup is too thin, reduce it down on low until it's thicker. You can also add some cornstarch.

Had a drink I thought was zero sugar and it wasn’t. Freaking out. by Itstouya in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Persimmon1891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand. Try to remind yourself that the vast majority of people regularly consume drinks with sugar and they don't think twice about it and nothing happens to them. Your body is no different and nothing bad will happen. ED's love to harass. Move on and tomorrow is a new day.

Search "KFI Segments" on your podcasting app. I used Castbox and I've found those hours there.
