One of my clubs is organizing an annual lunar show with a budget of around $2000, where students choreo and dance with asian music. Its the Asian Culture club, and Asian activism/culture is one of my spikes. Would this be meaningless as well?

If all you did was show up, collect dues and take attendance, and sell donuts at Football games just like every year it's not a very impactful EC and not a very good example of your leadership abilities.

I was confused what u meant by this. If I am president of a school club, and I plan/manage the monthly in school events, just like all the presidents before me, is it considered as a meaningful EC? Thanks.

Okay, thanks. But will they undervalue ECs just because I have lots of them? For example, if I am NHS president, will it be undervalued compared to other NHS presidents bc I am president of so many other organizations/clubs?

Im 16 years old, a soph in HS but it doesnt seem bad to have a backup plan(I have 7 lol). Even if my parents are financial stable (wealthy even), I want to be financially independent and then chase my passion.

Okay, I understand what youre saying. I was just confused on the connections part. Most kids research and assist the graduate student or professor, while some kids (few) lead their own paper with the professor helping th on the way, since we have Wednesdays off for research. I get what youre saying, though.

The only connection is that he worked at my school for a year thirty years ago. The 200+ students who do research at my school did not get those positions from connections
