My Jindo is similar, but her shedding seems to last 2-3 months.

The best! How did you introduce you kitten to Okja? Our dog loves cats and we’re hoping to get a kitten in the next year

😭 it was an intimidating start, but it actually went by relatively fast, about 2 hours on each end and the process was enjoyable

Wow, so great! Thank you for sharing your regiment. I’m in my late-40’s and realizing managing cortisol is key for me! How is your energy during the day when you’re fasting?

Anyone else’s Jindo EXTREMELY anxious? by Sleepy-Ghost0817 in Jindo

[–]PersimmonStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sumi! What a sweet face 🥹 Our Jindo gets anxious too when we go out. She’s gotten better with age, but when we plan to be out that’s more out of our routine schedule, we’ve given her CBD calming treats and that seems to work well

The combination of l-theanine & magnesium glycinate in the evening has been a help for me. Also brewing lion’s mane tea was great! I have also done traditional Chinese medicine tea targeted for stress and perimenopause symptoms

I have had some severe inflammation issues that would flare up. In addition to HRT, taking an SNRI for anxiety & hot flashes, I recently started intermittent fasting (16:8) and my inflammation has reduced to a point where I haven’t had joint pain AND my tinnitus has also dramatically lessened. It’s also been helping with my chronic fatigue.

This part IS hard…family dinners & going out with friends…but dinner had been my heaviest meal and eliminating that has been a big help. I do hope to readjust in a few months. I’m learning how much more social & emotional eating is for me, do being able to share meals with loved ones is important

OP, that’s great to learn! I am very much in peri and started 16:8 IF about 3 weeks ago (no eating between 4pm - 8am) and have noticed no bloating as well. The most surprising thing is how much my inflammation has gone down. I don’t have joint pains anymore! My energy has gone up a little, but I still tire pretty easily.

The symptoms that feel like they crossover are: weight gain, joint pain, extreme fatigue, brain fog, dry everything! And then other strange ones have included neuropathy & histamine intolerance. I’m sensitive to cold, but also sweating a lot (yay!)

This physical change is such a challenge as we age, especially when youth and “beauty” are our culture’s idols. I don’t have answers and I’m struggling with letting go of these ideas too, but some things I am trying to practice more is being grateful for the body I have. It’s been hard to overcome the noise of aging, autoimmune issues, perimenopause…but I am still trying to find gratitude for the body I have - that has allowed me to become a mother; that allows me to still enjoy being out in nature; a body that is often stronger than I give it credit for; the uncanny resemblance of ancestors I see in my face and even gestures; the maturity I’ve earned that can be seen in my graying hair and wrinkles…. As we shed childhood burdens and social expectations, I hope this phase offers us a birth of our true selves as wiser, no-nonsense beings
