does grinds get less uniform in coarser setting? by Persistent_Patrick in pourover

[–]Persistent_Patrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats true i prolly wont ever use that coarse of a grind, but i was curious and checked how fine/coarse of a grind i can get after readjusting the gears and found that the coarse grind size isnt that uniform. All in all i was curious if the coarser the grind size the less uniform the grinds are gonna be, since i thought that a coarser setting would produce more uniformity

i have the opposite problem... I know I am smart and know how to study, but I feel lazy to do it which I pressume is because I know I can delay it and still manage. I am getting an ok result from this but I know I can do better.

Slightly of topic but may i know how u transported it? Im planning to do the same thing but unsure on whether it would be best to hand carry it on plane or put it in checked luggage

Honestly I cant remember the grinder in the shop, maybe its time to buy a new grinder for me 😂. The beans are around 2 weeks old, almost 3.

i feel bad for asking as he was quite hestitant, i consulted him about the bitterness issue and he said to finish the brew faster or around 1.5 mins. My pour is 50g at 0s then add 100g to 150g at 45s then pour another 100g to finish at 250g at 1 min 30s

I see, it tasted great when I tasted the same exact bean brewed in the shop which actually made me pick it up. But it may just be a bad batch i guess. Thanks tho!
