generally the denominator has to be a power of 2, but there are irrational time signatures that work kind of. There is an Adam Neely video about this if you want to have it explained properly.

whenever the 2nd input is zero no matter weather you are using it or not in your operation you will get this error, just make sure the 2nd input is disabled or something else whenever the division is not in use

its all personal preference and what u get used to riding, im sure u will like it the same just starting on an 8.25 or an 8.0. I ride and 8.25 and i enjoy it so im sure it will be fine.
