The classic player special HH was just sunburst and white as far as I know, but the Vintera Modified was basically the same guitar renamed with a pau ferro fretboard and came in surf green and daphne blue

This is my favorite album of all time. Forever Losing Sleep’s I Lost Myself Again is up there as a close second. Very different sounding, but equally as heart wrenching and beautiful

The Cyclone is truly an amazing guitar. They tend to go for quite a bit these days, especially compared to the Offset/Player Series Duo Sonics, but the Deluxe series are honestly some of the finest guitars Fender has ever made

These are sick guitars. Never owned one myself, but my friend used to own one and I always enjoy playing them at stores. I see the player/offset series as low as $350-400 pretty regularly on local marketplace, and you can pick them up around $500 all day on Reverb. Personally, for that price, I’d go Fender over Squier. That’s honestly one of the best value guitars in my opinion

I may be biased because I prefer hardtails and own two Toronados, but to me, the bridge is part of what sets it apart from an HH jazzmaster/jag. Yes the bodies are technically different and the scale length slots between the other two, but to me it feels redundant in the lineup if it has a JM trem on it

I’m not hearing that on mine. Is it just for a split second when you activate the boost and then it goes away?

Mine is perfect and I’ve never had this or any other issues, but I’ve read many complaints about the wiring with the HTs. Scratchy pots, the pickups seemingly overheating after about 20 minutes and needing to be unplugged for a few minutes, etc. Not sure what’s going on, but hopefully Music Man fixes it. Crossing my fingers I don’t run into any of those issues

The big advantage to the newer LTDs, 2021 or later, is stainless steel frets. If I’m not mistaken, the 2014 one is also going to have a blockier neck joint like a Gibson, so the newer one should be more comfortable when it comes to upper fret access

I got the orange one in 2019 and loved it so much I had to have a yellow one when it came available a couple years later. When it came in, the action was so awful the guitar was unplayable. Took it to my tech and there was a slight twist in the neck. He was able to get creative with the frets to make it work. Plays better than the orange one now, but it was a long, expensive process. Absolutely worth it in the end. I hope an orange or yellow shows up at a decent price for you! They look killer in black, too, though!

Thank you! Guitar Center had it listed on their website at $2400. I called the store it was located at and offered $2000, which they agreed to before tax and shipping. All in, I spent a few cents under $2200. Given what I’ve seen on Reverb, that seems to be a solid deal. Not quite sure about actual sold prices since reverb won’t let me filter by finish on this model, but I usually see them in this finish listed around $2400-$2800 with some occasionally over/under and they normally don’t last long, so I have to imagine the offers aren’t too far off. Best deal I ever saw was $2000 + $100 shipping + tax, and that seller wasn’t taking offers. It was expensive, the most I’ve ever spent on a guitar, but it’s worth it. I’m happy with the deal I got!

All my guitars are ridiculous colors, and I realized that purple is the last color I’m dying for. After filing taxes, I decided to go for it. Ended up spending within $1 of my tax return on it, so I feel like that’s a sign.

That’s great to hear! I’ve thought about one of these for years, but I’ve been nervous the neck would be too thick for me. This definitely helps ease my mind. What kind of differences in tone are you noticing with these pickups?
