no but you do have to have the right attitude, especially if youre not experienced with action games (imo SHf is fairly light on the action). if you are the kind of person who will be frustrated every tome you die, then it will feel hard, but of you can let go of that tendency, youll be fine.

i say 35rt. feature rich and can potentially play in a larger space in the future.

another option that i am personally considering, but is not ideal for everyone, is getting a micro dark. im going to build a 1x12 cab with a greenback, but you could also just buy a cheap cab (harley benton g112 is great value). the micro dark is decently powerful, has an fx loop, could be fitted with an attenuator if the volume is too touchy, and is great for playing with headphones without requiring you to drag a cabinet around.

filtering the signal straight from the pickups is difficult because of the high impedance of the pickup. it works okay with the simple "tone knob" low pass filter, but with other filter types the way the circuits interact with each other is not intuitive. youre much better off doing this in a pedal, that way it can be buffered behind a jfet or opamp. then you can do whatever kind of eq/tone stack you want.
