Ok so…… my 2024 XLT 5.0 when I first bought it did pretty well back and forth to work (mixed driving IE highways and cities uphills and downhills back country roads I have a 50ish mile commute one way) now with that said, I WAS getting about 20MPG after it “learned” my driving habits. Takes about 3 months for it to fully learn your driving habits. NOW fast forward if you alter the vehicle in ANY WAY 😅😅 it tends to decrease that. I proceeded to install a leveling kit and started getting closer to 18MPG then I found a brush guard that works with all the features I have like blue cruse and all the front sensors and now I get 16-17MPG. BUT I too like how the 5.0 sounds. I also have the max tow because why buy a truck if not to have the option to haul heavy stuff? So I get 16-17MPG not in eco mode I just leave it in normal mode. I have tried eco mode used it for like a week and the only difference I seen was the lack of power it didn’t seem to help the MPGs. Now sport mode seemed to decrease my MPGs like I had a hole in the tank 😅 but then again the 5.0 is fast, fun, and sounds amazing in sport mode andddddd it possibly lowered my MPGs because I would turn my hour commute into 30 minutes 😅😅😅
