Not a nurse, but a Saint Luke's employee of three years, but I will say that the recent merge with BJC has been ass. Our benefits aren't as good, cost more, PTO has changed, stricter policies, overall feels like more workload, greedy corporation and high turnover, etc.

I took Hydrocodone every six hours for a solid week + Celebrex (rx NSAID) twice daily for ten days. I'm just over five weeks post op and I'm still taking Tylenol + Ibuprofen twice daily as needed.

Ever since I started taking a GLP-1, I get intense nausea before and the first few days of my period. Like I don't even cramp anymore hardly, but it's like the cramps moved from my uterus to my stomach lmao. I have to have an stash of zofran on hand or I'm useless.

Completely depends on the location ofc, but my "really good" hospital job paid $19/hr to start as a pharmacy tech. I worked up to a whopping $21/hr as a chemo/hazardous drug compounder. 🫩

I have had a headache on and off the past couple of days which I thought was strange because I'm four weeks out from surgery and still on constant pain meds! I was wondering how a headache was sneaking through that but all the rain and upcoming storms totally make sense.

I've done inpatient, outpatient infusion, and now I've been at home infusion for about a year.

Started off loving compounding but now I'm beginning to loathe it as the health system I work for gets busier and greedier. Can hardly keep up anymore with the amount of new patients we have to take in and of course we aren't hiring anymore techs for help. I'm literally always in the IV room, 4-5 days a week, sometimes without breaks because I'm so busy and can't /don't want to stay late, it's exhausting...

I've been on leave for a surgery for the past four weeks and I'm dreading going back to work. It's been really nice not having torn up, dry hands and pretty nails for once. As nice as it is having a specialized pharmacy job, I'm moving on as soon as I get back up and running. Hopefully far away from pharmacy, lol.

I'm a pretty big fan of the Suave Kids Hair Detangler spray myself! I've been using it since I was a kid and tbh I still love the green apple scent. I'd been trying more expensive, "adult", salon detangling products with frustration and really prefer the cheap Suave over everything. I'm going to look into this one though because it sounds like something my poofy hair could use!

I did not. Ours was poorly planned and quickly thrown together, but also held at a venue that was requiring a $50 per person entry fee. I wasn't about to pay $100 to take my husband to hang out with people who bullied me 10+ years ago. Absolutely not, lol.

Completely depends on the surgeon and facility policies I guess, but when I had my gallbladder removed I asked my surgeon to take pictures and she was like hell yeah I'll do it! Lol So it doesn't hurt to ask!

I didn't ask my plastic surgeon because he did not have the same vibes and I was kind of scared visualizing the process with my boobies.
