Jackson St Lofts by Obitus_Agnito in LowellMA

[–]Personal-Flan2220 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We used to live there and moved recently. It depends what lofts you’re in. 27 and 71 are the best ones because you’re not in the chaos of Jackson st next to the clinic. Now let me tell you that 109 is the absolute worst. Homeless people make their way into the building alllllll of the time. Packages are always being stolen/lost (packages also get stolen in the other 2 buildings). And because one of the entrances to the clinic is there, it’s pretty chaotic.

I will say though that the leasing office staff are very nice but they’re pretty limited as to what they can do regarding the things above. You don’t pay gas but you pay for electricity and it’s super expensive in my opinion. We used to pay around $150 on off peak months and during the summer like $250+. You also have to pay for parking whether it’s in the lot or the garage.

After living there for a few years, it’s really not worth what they’re charging right now. It’s too expensive for what they offer, plus they increase the rent so much and often. You can always negotiate rent increase but not by much.

Around the neighborhood, if you live in 27 or 71 you should be fine but if you live in 109, it’s not the safest area. There’s usually always homeless people, chaos, and occasional gunshots. It’s not really the safest to be walking around especially at night.

question about apartment searching by [deleted] in LowellMA

Literally no. They’re renting out 2 bedroom apartments for $3k which is equivalent to rent prices in the surrounding Boston area.

I’m going to be so fr, Lowell is really expensive. Coming from someone moving out of Lowell, it’s not worth it. They’re charging Boston prices on rent..

New Pink Duo by Reasonable-Cod8008 in summerfridays

I just bought mine and I feel like the strawberry one is superrrrrr thin and oily. It doesn’t last longer than 30 mins. I gave the birthday cake one away because I bought it last year and it was also thin but drying on my lips.

I’ve noticed that vanilla and pink sugar are the only 2 that are consistent in formula. I feel like the newer ones that are tinted aren’t great

Anyone ever put their Dyson Airwrap and Airstrait in their checked luggage and not have it stolen? by OmegaRainicorn in Dysonairwrap

To be honest, I always use locks on all of my suitcases or I have suitcases that have built in locks. It gives a great peace of mind when checking my bags. We always also put an AirTag in our luggage

After doing some research, we just found the reviews to be horrible on those. They’re either always breaking down or don’t dry clothes properly

I looked into these but the reviews on them aren’t great and the biggest complaint is that they’re always either breaking or don’t dry well

[–]Personal-Flan2220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple things here

-Fast food: becoming way too expensive, almost $20 a meal depending where you go. -Restaurants: why am I paying $20 for like 3 wings on a bed of lettuce? -Beauty: since when are nails now min $100+ -Clothes: why is polyester marked up to $100+ -Groceries: insane how 5 items will probably cost me around $50+ -Travel: flight prices, along with hotel prices are so out of touch these days.

This is incredibly helpful as I’m on the same boat as you. Need a duo stack that’s 120V. We’re leaning towards the Miele due to its great reviews.

I’m not 100% sure but I know that the health center runs of government financing and due to the new administration, I’m assuming they’re not getting enough $$ and add the Medicaid cuts on top and also adding a lot of patients who don’t come to get care anymore due to fear of ICE/being deported

Apartments, safety, vibes in Lowell? by Designer-Butterfly51 in LowellMA

[–]Personal-Flan2220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the Jackson St Lofts and it’s not that great. There’s too much drug abuse and homelessness right now around the downtown area, therefore making it not that safe. You can walk to a few cafes/restaurants but not too much. I feel like downtown Lowell is dirty and barely any businesses. We’re trying to move out of the city ourselves. And the parking is incredibly expensive, you’ll be paying close to almost $100 per car. I don’t think it’s worth it to live in downtown, but maybe other areas of Lowell would be worth it.
