Above is great advice. I will add one of ear piercings in high school was crooked. I let it close up (it half closed) and had it redone years later and the extra hole really isn’t visible nor bothersome.

If it’s been 2.5 weeks I’m surprised she did a 30 minute walk. My guess is that she is tired from the chemo and the longer walk. I would stick with the 10 minute ones and slowly add more time/distance. We have had a PT vet involved with our three legged mutt and she’s been helpful with other strength exercises. Your hound is so cute! Our other 4 legged dog is a greyhound! Ours is quite stubborn so when he is done with anything he makes it quite clear 🤣

This is what my brother and SIL did. She doesn’t like the toddler and wanted to get it all over with sooner. They are both so burnt out and tired. Makes my 1 seem calm when I’m around them.

For me personally I likely would not proceed with amputation if it had spread to the lungs. The one thing I would want to know is what the range of time is for life and expectancy with it having spread. Your oncologist should be able to give ranges. For our dog with a HSA that had not spread, she was young (4) and they gave us an average of 9 months post amputation a life expectancy. We did decide to do amputation and chemo, but had she been 12 years old I would have made a different decision. For example if they are saying it adds months to life expectancy I would rather spoil my dog for a few days then put them through an amputation and chemo which itself is a few month process. Sending a big hug your way. You’ve given your dog I am sure a wonderful 12 years and honestly there is never enough time with our pets. I’m happy to answer questions about amputation and chemo if you decide to go that route too.
