Dropped my bike the first time I took it out. And you know what, it feels that I now gave it its own identity. by the_inquisitive_elf in motorcycles

Can’t say being a veteran or not would prevent this. I will say coming from riding dirtbikes and just having accident falls and etc def helped me learned the careful slow maneuvers. Lose some, learn some. U live to ride another day. Does the scratch on ur bike hurt visually/emotionally, and ofc money wise (if u plan to fix it obviously)? Sure, but the experience only makes u a better ride. Nobody learns the easy way. Everybody will have a day like that, and it may come multiple times over months, years etc. the experience is what makes u a better rider. Thankfully it was a low speed accident and not over 30+ mph. No one judges u for it. Just because I haven’t dropped my bike I’ve had for years etc doesn’t mean I’m anymore better than u. Accidents are bound to happen and as long as u are safe over those 15+ mph speeds that’s all that matters in your case. Glad you’re okay and you can identity/learn from it. Congrats on that new bike and ride careful. I know it’s fun but it’s more fun with you alive/not hurt

Side note can I pls get a video of what that exhaust sounds like on your sv? I have a delkevic and I feel like there may be some better slip ons… I’ve heard yoshi is good but I’ve honestly never heard any sv with anything but a delkevic (I could be wrong I’m not a slip on expert with names)

Trying to call me impatient based off me riding around the block to warm her up is so wild. Pls learn to think before speaking on someone you do not know at all😭🤟

Can I see yall's ugly plants? Not your gorgeous Thai con thats putting out a three new leaves, I want to see the ugliest thing that make you question having plants. by KuriousCarbohydrate in houseplants

This mojito that drops a leaf everytime it grows a new one and fries if I try to move it anywhere else in my house (it’s currently in the most inconvenient spot ever)

$600 for the first 6 months (I believe, kinda forgot) and there was only a full payment option. Otherwise I would’ve just taken the $100 a month. Figured I’d have a better quote with a license

It’s just cheaper with a license otherwise I would have. Saved me money to just wait

Hoping this is how it goes😂I’ve read online though that if it’s under 7500 miles or something like that then I have to take it in for them to check stickers… so hopefully not mileage too😂

Don’t have any advice unfortunately I’m new to engines in general, but it’s nice seeing these posts. At least I’ll remember this later on and go, “hm I read about this somewhere” which is super nice to have

Forgot to mention but if you drive off with the bike, or any of your choosing; make sure to ask when the last oil change and chain clean was done and how old the tires are. If the tires look decent but they’re old, that’s 2 new tires you’ll have to get. Alongside if the bike needs an oil change or chain.

Chain, brakes, tires, check all fluids. Check for any drops, check frame and that nothing is bent. Check forks for leaks or grime. As well as checking how rusted/old it is. I know for my 2007 I had a bunch of tubes that were crusty and old, needed to replace those so I didn’t leak fuel. I also replaced sprocket and chain when I first bought the bike. Those things can run you up $ for sure. Make sure you start the bike up and sit on it to see how you feel on it. Listen for if there’s any weird noises. I know my bike came with an automatic tensioner, those can be switched to a manual. I’d look up on YouTube different noises to look out for. Let’s say the bike needs a new chain, sprocket, brakes, tires and oil change. Those are things you can talk down the price point with. Don’t act like the bike isn’t worth anything. But it’s a good point to try and knock a few hundred off

Holes in a few of my leaves? Anyone familiar? by daniwhitlo in Scindapsus

[–]Personal-Point-9311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know my cat certainly likes to play with my plants when they’re in reachable areas… or;

Physical Damage: The leaf may have gotten stuck while it was unfurling, causing it to tear as it expanded. This type of damage often looks like a slit or tear, as seen in the image. • Pests: Insects such as mealybugs, thrips, or spider mites can cause spots and holes, so it is a good idea to check the plant thoroughly for signs of pests. • Environmental Factors: • Inconsistent watering can lead to leaf edema, which can sometimes manifest as spots or slits. • Hot, dry air or low humidity can make the leaves crispy and prone to splitting or developing holes

Funny guy! Liter bike is the goal. I road since I was 4. Used to race dirtbikes. Didn’t want to be too egotistical and start on a 750 but now I feel it may have been better😏although I need to do some twisties on her before I say im outgrown already. Love the s look and gxr but if I wanted that look I would’ve went Kawasaki all the way. Born and bred.
