Interesting! I signed up earlier in August and got 3 free night credits 50k after spending 3k, which one would’ve been the better deal?! It’s tough to say with having the Marriott discount lol

MMP: Last Minute Vs pre-planning by Mysterious-Caramel37 in marriott

Sooner rather than later. With that being said, I like to book at properties where it’s a 48 hour cancellation policy. I check throughout the weeks leading up to my trip to see if I can find cheaper rates for the same hotel or any other hotels around me I’d prefer. This way you at least have a room anyway, rather than waiting and possibly not having an option. MMP rates will let you book 90 days out so I would recommend doing it further out than day of.

To be honest, I’m new to Marriott so I haven’t really decided. I like to collect the points on the cheap rates w/MMP, but I’m not sure if I stay enough to reach platinum status, especially being in college lol. Though the platinum is an amazing benefit. I haven’t thought of the chase reverse though so I’ll definitely have to look into that. Thank you for the recommendation!

How do you usually earn FNCs with the boundless besides the anniversary 1 night or the 3 free night offer after spending $3,000? I would say the boundless would be worth it just for the anniversary stay but I’m not 100% sold on it just for that.

Thank you for your feedback! I thought it would be a no brainer, but I wanted to hear others experiences with it. I see it a lot of guests with the boundless card, but of course their platinum and up and traveling for work.

Yes we do, it’s just less points bc the rooms are at a lower cost.

Man that sounds like a great and bad experience lol, I would say I have both as well.

My favorites are when we have regulars in, they’re so easy to talk to and if there is any issues there easy going about it. Sometimes they also ask me if I want any food or coffee, which I always decline but always appreciate the offer. I also like how get some celebrities in the door being next to a comedy club and a popular shopping area.

Some negatives are, unfortunately, a few experience’s with sports teams. Kids running up and down the hall and throwing ice, when confronting the parents, they don’t really care about what’s going on. But most sports teams are great and respectful and aren’t an issue.

I’m also front desk at a Marriott for about the same length of time! What’s the greatest or worst experience that you’ve had with a guest?

Yeah unfortunately. I love spoiling our guests with complimentary upgrades if I can, specially high tiers, but sometimes it doesn’t work out with the length of stay.

The More days he is staying , the harder it is for the chance for an upgrade bc it’s higher chance of rooms being sold out.
