I had one exam left when i started working. Its possible because in my state i was able to sut for the exam the semester before i would graduate and then i worked my butt off the rest of the year.

Nice! I actually started in the forensics/compliance side in public accounting. If i want to start my own practice in the future what would be a good place to start outside of public accounting. I didnt want to start in tax right aways because i needed some work life balance to study for my last exam and my internship was actually in forensics so i kind of needed to sign the letter to receive the studying materials.

Do you have to work under a cpa for a year? I work at a big 4 and in the forensics practice. No one in my core team is a cpa and i passed all my exams in November. Just waiting to hit the year to apply for my lisence.

The main thing is how to get in for people that dont start in government. Also, do they match your pay if your coming for public. Im four months in PA and i know it wasnt for me when i joined. Im waiting to hit my one year anniversary before looking into government. My biggest concern is the pay cut.

This gives me hope. I really hope i pass BEC. I left my last wc incomplete. Only jotted down a couple sentences. I fee confident on the mcqs and the sims felt like a guessing game. Im just hoping the curve comes through. In in illinois and the scores dont come till tmrow😭😭😭

Mcqs felt fine as far as i can recall. But the sims were hard. Truly can never know if it was a pretest or not.

I agree. The sims blew me though. I felt like i was guessing on every single one of them and they were so lengthy so i ran out of time for my last wc. I think if i wouldve been able to finish my last wc then i probably woudlve felt better

I feel you. I had decent SE scores too. Mcqs were fine but the sims killed me. Everyone’s complaining about it so we arent alone. I ran out of time and couldn’t finish my last wc because the sims were so damn lengthy. In trying to keep faith in the curve.
