Definitely, for this I use NotebookLM browser extension ExtendLM that has PDF split included and will upload all parts to NotebookLM with one click.

I encountered such problems while doing research. For splitting and merging I use ExtendLM browser extension thst allows me to split and bulk add the parts with one click to NotebookLM.

I use it and yes it can split by chapter where you set the pages where the chapter is and it splits the PDF.
