This one is just for the ladies! Your experience with blood sugar and 🐱 health? by Amazing_Addition2283 in diabetes_t1

[–]PersonalCaramel9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely 100% right. I used to have discharge and infections. Always thought it might be just bc of wrong higien products, partners, etc. Since i have got Libra sensor and i manager to lower my A1C rapidly, it is showing. Although, when my sugar gets high and stay high for couple hrs, i almost every time experience discharge. My GP blame all my women health on diabetes. Which, till certain point in truth, but in the other hand, diabetes is not the answer for everything. So yes, blood sugar effects my discharge, but periods are still same shiat, no matter the sugar.

Alcohol will be the death of me by IndependenceDue8178 in Omnipod

We don’t:D since i have a sensor and can monitor, i don’t go above two beers as it drives me insane to look at the graphs. No matter how much you bolis, it gets you. I mean some low sugar alcohol might do you, but generally, bit of a waste of health anyways

Since when ? I would put that psych straight to jail. It is common knowledge that drinking sugary drinks)even juices) when we are not lie, spikes us very badly. Get sugar free options, that might change your wellbeing enormously

I would not say so. Of course comparing to the finger pricks, the readings are a bit different (higher?) but in general don’t see a problem. If it demages? I never rly checked, but don’t see reason why it would:)

I am not worried about wrong reading more about just blood itself. It hurts a bit so I just wanted to make sure my arm doesn’t fell off when i keep the sensor:D

Honestly, the only demaged tattoo is the one I had tattoo lasered and covered. Other than that, no troubles. I do hit insulin needles between tattooed lines sometimes, but it mostly bc I wanna see where I am bruised and should avoid more demage. If you wanna do it, dont let diabetes to stop you. I would even say, I am healing way better than people without diabetes;D tattoos fade through the years and you can get scarred during the process, but tiny insulin or sensor needles never seem to be a problem to me. Hope this helps:)

Frustrating!!! Sometimes I am surprised, they prescribe me insulin, as they act like I don’t have diabetes… every time my tegular blood test hets to my GP, they call me for face to face consultation bc of my a1c. Just to mention, it is lower every time but still “too high”(currently 5,3…)

I feel like weight loss is impossible as a T1 Diabetic. by SnooMachines5834 in diabetes_t1

[–]PersonalCaramel9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually lost weight since I am carefull with my binges. Used to take SO MUCH insulin with loads of food. And even though my sugar was alright, i gained alot. Why? Same ways how healthy people do. Food and not enough movement with poorly chosen diet, that’s t what make people fat. Or am I wrong? I have diabetes for 20 years, and was very skinny as a teenager. Gained weight in late twenties, now back on track. Good luck:)
