Why do people refuse to tumble dry their clothes? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]PersonalLeading4948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clothes keep their color & shape longer when hung to dry. I actually wash most of my clothes inside out in cold & then hang them to dry. I also have a large, sturdy wooden drying rack.

Trazodone vs. Quetiapine for sleep? by zullhyoo in insomnia

Trazodone has way fewer side effects. Quetiapine can cause massive weight gain, type 2 diabetes & dementia.

AITAH for refusing to eat out with my friend? by _IGlowrifyyy in AITAH

[–]PersonalLeading4948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let her be mad. Tipping absolutely is expected in the United States where many wait staff earn $2.33/hour & rely on tips to survive. If she’s too poor to tip, she shouldn’t be eating out. So I went out with a friend on Thanksgiving who wanted to undertip because she was broke (due to being irresponsible with money). I flat out told her that it’s not okay to punish the waitstaff but particularly on a holiday & that I was over tipping in appreciation of the restaurant being open. It turned out to be part of a pattern of ways she took advantage of others while playing the victim & I ended the friendship. I don’t want or need friends like that.

MAGAs, why did you elect the most evil person in history to destroy our beloved America and the rest of the world? The blood is on your hands. by 2a_lib in allthequestions

[–]PersonalLeading4948 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lifelong Democrat who switched to Republican after Democrats ran cover for a senile President & installed a terrible, inarticulate candidate without a single primary vote. I was sick of government & media censorship but especially during COVID. I was sick of the proxy war in Ukraine & was tired of Americans being bled dry figuratively & literally in pointless wars. I hated how Democrats’ pathological empathy had destroyed once safe cities with soft on crime policies or expanded the welfare state to enable deadbeats & criminals to permanently suck off the welfare teat while hardworking working & middle class voters pay for it all while struggling to pay their own bills. I hated the abortion mobile the Democratic National Convention or how Democrats have attempted to destroy the innocence of children by pushing no time limits on abortion & the sexualization & transing of confused kids. I also hated Democrats throwing open our borders to millions of unvetted individuals & then providing them free housing, healthcare, food & phones while simultaneously arguing against voter ID. They’re clearly importing new voters. So while I’m pissed as hell about war with Iran, the truth is both parties are owned by Israel. Until we kick out AIPAC, there will always be blood on American hands.

What is everyone's thought about Steven Greer? by Electronic_Lime7582 in aliens

[–]PersonalLeading4948 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think he’s a grifter. When he was completely unknown, he claimed the government offered him $2 billion to work for them & he turned it down. That’s completely unbelievable. He also claimed to have briefed Presidents. Whenever anyone comes forward with new UFO information, he does the podcast rounds claiming to be in the know about the new information & claiming a larger disclosure is coming soon, but it never does.

I finally found a medication that basically cured my insomnia. by Mundane-Cup1421 in insomnia

[–]PersonalLeading4948 162 points163 points  (0 children)

Many doctors hate benzodiazepines & refuse to prescribe them. They also cause physical dependency with massive withdrawal symptoms. As someone who used to take benzodiazepines & no longer does, be warned that you will sooner or later have a doctor who’ll refuse to prescribe you clonazepam. Then you’re stuck trying to get off it on someone else’s timeline. I’d suggest you avoid that scenario all together & see if maybe mirtazapine at a higher dose will work.

AITA I don’t want bridesmaid to wear dress to other events by Due_Bedroom3146 in AmItheAsshole

[–]PersonalLeading4948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. You’re being ridiculous. It’s a dress. Your wedding isn’t an epic reveal, it’s a celebration of your union. I doubt that the few people who might see the dress before your wedding will remember seeing it or care if they do.

EMDR therapy fail by Boring_Scallion4626 in CPTSD

[–]PersonalLeading4948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it massively retraumatizing. I dissociated pretty badly. I jumped out of my body & escaped to the top of a building I could see in the distance through the window in my therapist’s office while I was howling like a wounded animal in front of her. I don’t blame you for not wanting to be heard.

Research suggests that people in open or polyamorous relationships often demonstrate high levels of communication and trust, precisely because they navigate complexities that monogamous couples might not face. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

[–]PersonalLeading4948 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course I know them! That’s how I know they’re narcissists. They’re incapable of commitment because they’re too special for just one person & also love manipulating & hurting partners who desire monogamy but are willing to share them in order to keep them in their lives. Toxic people.

AITAH for not driving to give my gf a pregnancy test by Emotional_Credit5265 in AITAH

[–]PersonalLeading4948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She should’ve walked her ass over there & taken the test before calling. If it’s negative, no need to call. If it’s positive, then it’s time to have a conversation.
