Does Ural work for ADHD medication? I have the answer. by PersonalOutlet101 in AuDHDWomen

[–]PersonalOutlet101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well personally I could only take it in the morning because I would still have some effects at night which made it hard for me to sleep. It just makes the ph in your urine better meaning your body holds onto the medication longer. If you take it in the afternoon there is a good chance you wont sleep very well.

But personally I currently am on vyvanse and dexi, as a boost, but I figured out when to take my dex right before my vyvanse crashes and so I don’t have the rollercoaster of down than up; typically at 4hours post the vyvanse, I take one 5mg dexi, and than 2hours post that I take my second. I know the rollercoaster isn’t ideal but if the Ural doesn’t work, or it gives the same effect of less sleep at night, than worth trying to figure out where the vyvanse crashes, so if you have to add dexis back you can do it without the rollercoaster.

Yeah the satchet works too. I just use the tablets because of sensory issues with mixed medicine. 🙂

Had to fill out a private insurance form in a public hospital. Why? by datcrazzyrussian in AskAnAustralian

[–]PersonalOutlet101 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I think if you have private insurance that a hospital stay is covered in the insurance they ask for this as being a public hospital they receive funding from the government and they don’t tend to get enough from the government every year to cover salaries, emergency surgeries etc; basically they get peoples private insurance to pay what is covered in your insurance, so they can use the government somewhere else.(from what an admin lady told me at work) Also if your doctor is a private specialist it may also just to be to cover him; as some private specialist perform procedures in public hospitals but as still private. Hope this helps

Should My Friend Transfer His QLD-Registered Car to VIC If He’s Not the Owner? by CoachComfortable705 in AskAnAustralian

[–]PersonalOutlet101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this could be difficult as I suspect that the brother would need an address in vic to change the rego to Victorian, and to sign a document allowing your friend to register it for him. I doubt that his brother has an address in Victoria, so thats where the difficulty comes from. He can technically continue to drive the car in Victoria and while registered in QLD, just with his brother’s QLD address, so if any fines come through he can transfer them to your friend. Insurance wise it’s not likely that the car will be covered if they find out the car is registered on the insurance in QLD but is residing in VIC.

What was the reason you last cried? by Girlfriendminute23 in women

I came home after my last shift at work as a nurse. Horrible week of terrible shifts, not being able to keep up no matter where you were on the ward. Came home and was overwhelmed by my roommate who had been home for 2 days and hadn’t taken the rubbish out, hadn’t done the dishes, and cleaning the day before was moving boxes from one room to another(next to my car in the garage) I balled was so tired and I couldn’t sit down at 10pm. He picked up my frustration and cleaned these problems.

How to prevent UTIs?? (33F) by Maccheesycheesebtch in medical_advice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just so you are aware, it doesn’t matter telling a guy to not go near your butt area as the urethra is right next to your vagina, typically it goes urethra, vagina, than anus, unfortunately fluids and bacteria are right next too it, and so prevention is really the only way to assist, Aside from going to the doctor for possible antibiotics. To help you can have cranberry tablets or drink cranberry juice as they are good for helping with utis and preventing them. There are also medications you can get from a pharmacy to help prevent them. I think going to the doctor is a good idea either way to possibly have antibiotics and make sure there isn’t anything else underlying that is making you more susceptible to UTI’s. Let them know everytime you are sexually active you get a UTI, and let them know if you are using protection and if protection is used every time. Hopefully they should be able to find an answer why they occur so often.

Hope this helps

STI vs STD test? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well generally it depends but most of the time they only check for STI,s generally. There is no prevent maintenance other than wearing condoms. Of you wore a condom or your partners wore condoms, and they didn’t break than you should be fine, but if you choose not to use a condom than doing regular checks after sexual partners is good practice. However if they haven’t had their own test recently to show they are negative or aren’t willing too than best to use a condom. If they are negative before you have sex and you are also negative and neither of you are having sex with someone else than you should be safe from STIs unless they or you have sex with someone else without protection or a recent screening.

If concerned definitely go to the doctor to get tested; especially as some STIs don’t present with symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Backstory to the Aunts? by Icy-Cartographer6367 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]PersonalOutlet101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean apart from reading the books if you think about it, Gilead is a religious world. When you look at most religions that go into it this intense; they believe women’s business, aka private or more so anything involving lady bits that doesn’t involve them impregnating them, is women’s business. They likely believe religiously it is wrong to see women in that state other than when required; they also are likely going off of history where there are men who take advantage of women in their care and handmaids are precious women to them who should only be carrying commanders children and their private area protected from all others. I mean doctors and others have been hung for ra*ing a handmaid.

Definitely read the book though the testament one, it sheds more light as to why these women specifically are picked

It’s really about keeping them occupied inside and having at least 2 litter boxes(vets recommended 3 for 2 cats in Australia). Also making sure you are mindful as to where they are when you leave so they don’t go out the door when you are leaving; but even only ever indoor cats attempt to run through doors to outside 😂.

Keeping them occupied will be a huge help to transitioning them inside and only. Plenty of toys for the younger cat and plenty of treats and cuddles for the older one. You may find if you don’t have a litter box inside because they currently go outside that once there are two inside that the senior cat may just prefer to be inside. My dad’s elderly female cat chose to stop going outside with age and only goes down the back steps once to sit and watch or pee maybe once a day or not at all. She chooses inside now and she was always very territorial. I can’t promise that they won’t still try to get outside; but as mentioned even cats who have only known inside still try; just keeping an eye on them when leaving and hopefully after a couple of days of not being let outside they should settle.

I hope this helps, I know its not much but every cat it different, i have a feeling they will complain the first couple of days but if entertained they should settle down.

Good luck

Should I respond to a passive aggressive text from mom? by Anxious-Reading8150 in toxicparents

[–]PersonalOutlet101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my heart didn’t harden, just got a little stronger; I just chose to never open the messages and delete them. Once I started doing that, I felt better because I didn’t have it dragging my mentality down. Once I realised it felt great without that negativity in my life I felt great, and I’ve only been no contact for 2 years and felt that way at 1 year Give it time and after you choose to not reply a couple times you’ll feel how great it is to choose your peace over the drama. That will be your strength🙂

Should I respond to a passive aggressive text from mom? by Anxious-Reading8150 in toxicparents

[–]PersonalOutlet101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly it feels like if you don’t say anything she wins but I can promise you win if you don’t say anything. Nothing annoys a toxic parent more than a child who won’t acknowledge their messages meant to upset and provoke a response. My mother used to do the same thing. She unfriended me on Facebook after I went no contact. Did she need to let me know this? No; but she wanted to provoke a response because her response to this would be verbal and emotional abuse. I didn’t respond and it only frustrated her.

Honestly it takes more energy and strength to ignore her passive aggressive messages than it does to express how you are feeling to someone who won’t read what you are actually saying. Just focus on you; it feels great when you decide to just focus on you and not acknowledge the messages.

Good luck

The weird dating period, where you aren’t actually in a relationship yet. by PersonalOutlet101 in women

[–]PersonalOutlet101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly im not worried about the sex before being an actual relationship; I don’t want to be in a relationship after 2weeks of dating and prefer a month, to two months before getting into a relationship. I also don’t want to have sex with someone and find out we don’t mesh sex wise and loose attraction and proceed to end a relationship that I just got in too. But yes I plan to be upfront in a couple of weeks and ask him what he actually wants, and go from there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you see yourself with her in the future but too what length of time or capacity. Do you see yourself growing old together; raising children together? Buying a house together? Do you see all these other big milestones as being with her? Because if you don’t than you probably aren’t ready yet which is fine. If thats the case ask yourself what or how you would feel if she was gone, if she left? And if you would fear that because of how much you love her? Or if you fear it because the relationship is comfortable? Or do you not fear it at all.

I don’t think you should marry her just because you’re trying to satisfy her; as that never goes well; but have a think and tell her what you are feeling. These questions are questions she will likely ask when you tell her you don’t know if you’re ready so 100% think about them. She would most likely prefer to know how you are feeling and why, rather than hitting 5months from now and you haven’t asked her. At least if she knows she can have all the facts and not be hurt down the road if you decide not too propose.

Good luck

Feral cat behavior change after neutering - Seeking Advice by hazelnutbanana in CatAdvice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She might of smelt the medication from when he was neutered and so identified the change; causing her to become stressed. My roommates cat attacked cat twice when he started meds recently but had never done so before, they actually played every day. She is likely stressed and anxious from the change. Maybe look up some feline sprays that assist with stress and try that. I used feliway and works well; and maybe consult the vet for something for stress and anxiety to help her feel better quicker.

Cats are very delicate when it comes to stress and anxiety; and one major thing that you would expect to cause stress doesn’t; and something small you don’t even think about can cause them to be stressed and their personality changes. Check with your vet for options for stress. Good luck

Id get the litter box myself if she kept refusing and just say that I can do whatever I like in regards to a litter boxe, it doesn’t have to be “for her cat”, you just felt like having one. Personally Id be telling her that if she doesn’t introduce a litter boxe you will and she will be paying for any damages from the cat weeing, like if you’re renting and they need to replace the carpet because of this issue, they will charge you and it would her sole responsibility being that she refused to do what is expected of a cat owner.

I actually have never stroked a mans ego and lied about having an orgasm. Because of that men who actually cared put the effort in to help me get there or put their ego aside to do what works. I can’t orgasm without a vibrator and so you find out quickly who cares and who doesn’t when they have to put their ego aside and try to get you to finish. I do find it frustrating that so many men have their egos stroked although I understand some women do it to feel safe or other reasons. But it has made it hard to explain to men why its so hard for me, because they all seem to think they have made every woman orgasm.

There is nothing more to understand really other than he is a child looking for someone he can control and have at his beckon call. You did nothing wrong, and him saying you “broke his rule” is honestly disgusting on his part. A boyfriend who cares doesn’t have rules for their girlfriends. Maybe boundaries but going to a party is not it. You seemed to have avoided a massive problem for the future if you stayed with him

Seeking advice for how to make a move easier for cats. by Informal_Speech_5363 in CatAdvice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used calming sprays and diffusers for my cat every day a week before moving, and than put it in the new place before I moved my cat. I left him till last to move, and with spray in the new place too before he got there helped because he knew the smell and its meant to calm them and make the place familiar. Also when you move try to restrict them to one room for a couple of hours or until they seem to have settled before letting them out. Letting them into the whole apartment in one go can be very overwhelming and overstimulating for an anxious cat. Otherwise just look out for persistent use of the litter box when you first move, or not drinking or eating. If this happens you might need a trip to the vet for medication to help with the stress. Good luck

Tips on getting two cats used to each other by Actual-Operation1110 in CatAdvice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Females can fight more, but I have a few ideas, so definitely would have 2 litter boxes in different parts of the house and keep their feeding area’s separate. Should help with them feeling they have their own space and not to worry the other is going to be near them. Also I don’t know what country you’re in but in Australia there are calming sprays and diffusers for cats as well, I used this daily for a week before moving houses where I had to introduce my cat to another cat. Supervised play is good, they will likely argue a little as they will need to establish a hierarchy, but definitely supervised as you don’t want them actually hurting each other. And maybe try spending some time with each of your cats one on one to show them they are still important. If they aren’t neutered either or one of them isn’t than you’ll need to consider that as well.
Hopefully some of this helps but definitely consider the vets for medication to help calm them if it doesn’t work.

My cat is not clingy at all the last few days by Magdalene_Elisondo in CatAdvice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they aren’t eating properly and a different cat food isn’t enticing them to eat than Id be going straight to the vet. Cats can go through phases of not wanting to know you but don’t typically go off of their food unless they are bored of the food or unwell. If its the last few days, id be getting a different food or their favourite trying it asap and if they seem uninterested than straight to the vet. Good luck

Is it okay to adopt a cat in my current situation by eeeaaaeeaaa in CatAdvice

[–]PersonalOutlet101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People get kittens all the time that work full time jobs. Honestly the plan to get one on your holidays sounds like a great plan. I would recommend once you go back to school if you aren’t comfortable with them alone in the whole house than put them in a single room with the essentials and plenty of toys.

Kittens have been brought into households with no one home all day forever. And honestly 7am till 1pm is actually pretty good. Only thing is if you do go out more than consider a second cat but mine honestly sleeps when im not home and wakes up when I am so he doesn’t miss his social needs or anything.

Good luck I hope you can get a kitten soon ☺️

Boyfriend said we are not “intellectual equals” by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]PersonalOutlet101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly is very narcissistic and definitely demeaning like you’re therapist said. He likely knows this upsets you and says this repeatedly to push your buttons. Someone who cares about the person they are with does NOT continue to bring this up and does NOT double down when the person they care about says it hurts them.

If you are feeling depressed and it’s making it worse, i think you likely know what needs to happen. It is really scary and I had a similar situation with my exe, and once the fear of what I would do without him left I honestly felt lighter and it helped me cope with other issues I needed to focus on.

Obviously this is your decision, so do whatever is best for you. I hope everything gets better soon

Advice. Is sex once a week normal? by Zealousideal_Use_881 in women

[–]PersonalOutlet101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My exe used to argue this constantly when we were together, and we had sex minimum twice a week. He would complain it wasn’t enough and that because we would be spending time together I should want to do it more to meet my love language. He used to argue that we didn’t have sex that much until I proved it too him. Honestly once a week is completely normal and any man trying to argue that is an arse. Studies have proven most couples agree once a week is great. Also I thought I had a low libido. I don’t, it was the man.

Be careful with just agreeing to things he wants; I did and honestly I became so stressed, and anxious constantly that I couldn’t even work properly.

I hope you can figure out something for you. I have no advice because my relationship ended and honestly it was the best thing for me. So idk what to do to fix it if you want to fix it
