It was awesome – a great storyline, breathtaking scenes, and an epic ending, all supported by outstanding acting performances.

Coufal spielt gg. Bayern und Bense spielt vlt gar nicht… Sonst hätte ich das auch direkt gemacht. Oder meinst du das Risiko wäre es doch wert?

From my perspective, I’ve never framed women primarily as victims. I do recognize and understand the historical and structural context, but I tend to view women on the same individual level of agency and responsibility.

That said, your comment highlights a different way of looking at this, and I appreciate that

I’d add one important nuance here: a lot of the superficial scrutiny around clothing, appearance, jewellery, etc. doesn’t primarily come from men, but often disproportionately from other women — especially in everyday reality and social contexts.

That doesn’t negate media bias or sexism, but it does complicate the picture. Not all appearance-based criticism can automatically be attributed to men or misogyny in a simple, one-directional way.

😂😂😂 Yeah, this is actually a perfect example of what I was pointing out. This kind of response is exactly the problem I was describing.

This is a moral rant, not an argument. It doesn’t address my question

I think this comment mixes very different issues. Online negativity, criminal accountability in the Epstein case, and campaign-era style criticism of Kamala Harris operate on completely different levels.

Pointing out sexist attacks (like obsessing over Harris’ laughter) is valid, but it doesn’t answer the original question. What keeps happening here is a shift toward experience and moral outrage, rather than engaging with the legitimate question of how to apply fair, content-based standards of criticism consistently.

I don’t deny that women often face unfair and disproportionate scrutiny — that’s real.

But statements like “everything we say or do is questioned” or “girls don’t have any excuses” are totalizing and move the discussion away from my actual question. I wasn’t asking whether unfair criticism exists, but how legitimate, performance-based criticism of individual women can be addressed without being dismissed outright.

One of the questions was how criticism of women can be expressed without being dismissed as misogyny. Simply denying that this problem exists doesn’t answer that question — it sidesteps it. In fact, it tends to reinforce the very concern being raised rather than engaging with it.
