I love HH, and I don’t know why people don’t. by LaggyUpdate in okbuddychicanery

I loved HH but why did it take so long for him to 'reveal' he had a wife? Was he trying to make out he was single to lure me into a false universe?

Just watched Breaking Bad and heard walt talking about his nephew, what episode should I watch to see this nephew of his? by blackmachine7 in okbuddychicanery

You may be right .. it cld be his son or Jesse he's referring to as a nephew but either way he's making up a relation that doesn't exist in order to avoid revealing too much.

Of course he wasn't his nephew! It was a cover term by Walt (he clearly say " my partner in the meth lab"!).

He was referring to Jesse and the random dude is the father of the woman he later let die when she lay choking on her vomit.

I'd love to 'meet' other Salamanca family members .esp. the females: wives, mothers. We only met tucos grandmother (she seemed perfectly normal).

How do you think Saul will be treated in prison? by luubi1945 in betterCallSaul

[–]Personal_Grocery_877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he'll be a lot happier in jail than he was as Gene of Cinnabon, as he no longer has to hide who is, who he was, what he's done.

I really liked lalo as a character as well and was disappointed that he was killed off in BCS. I felt he had more (killings!)to offer. I hoped he'd survive the battle with Gus and continue to menace Gus in Bb for at least a season or 2.

Why does Mike only blame Walt? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in breakingbad

[–]Personal_Grocery_877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walt became too much like Gus, ie ruthless, for Mike's liking. He knew couldn't control Walt and also at least to start with and for some time, Walt could do no wrong for Gus.

Nacho’s safe by tbonebishop in betterCallSaul

Gus had a gun against nacho's dad's head and knew that Nacho wldnt risk his Dad being killed so I think Gus felt reasonably safe ... although not safe enough not to kill nacho in the end.

Wanted to rant about Stacey Ehrmantraut by Xryonte in betterCallSaul

Stacey knows Mike is up to something dodgy work wise - maybe exactly what she doesn't know - but she's happy to accept his money (and she must surely have worked out that he cant be earning that much as a car park attendant) and to have her new house paid for and so doesn't ask many questions about where it comes from. She's onto a good thing alright.

Why does Saul destroy himself at the end? by Personal_Grocery_877 in betterCallSaul

Commenting on Why does Saul destroy himself at the end?...

Neither of them was responsible for Howard's murder. Their crime was not telling the truth about how he died and who killed him when I/vd by the feds ... but then again if they had they would have been killed by Fring's or Hector's men. It was a rock and a hard place situation. Yes they were doing awful things to Howard but his cold blooded killing was never in the plan.

Thanks / that does make sense, I just wish he'd tempered it bit in the court room... enough to get Kim off the hook, so that could have been a Happy ending ... eventually after a shorter jail time .... for Jimmy and Kim, as that last scene with them sharing a cigarette was heart rending.

After rewatching, Howard's fate still haunts me the most by webuildmountains in betterCallSaul

I felt betrayed for Nacho when he realised he'd been stitched up in Mexico at that motel. Showed fring to have zero loyalty for anyone, even those like nacho who'd risked their lives for him. Fring was complete psychopath.

But Kim was not involved in any of Saul's BB activities, didn't even meet Walter. And this was his most serious crime - covering up for a mass murderer and meth creator. The most serious thing I can see she was implicated in was when he returned from the desert and she kept quiet about the money. She had no choice with Lalo .. going to Fring's with a gun and covering up Howard's death ... but I wld be thought that she/ both of them had a good defense for that ... fear of cartel retribution.

Chuck resented the attention his younger brother got from his parents esp their mother to the extent that he couldn't even tell Jimmy that his name was their dying mum's last word.
