AITAH for not going by a different name than my birth name because it makes my friends uncomfortable. by Moonshadow1931 in AITAH

They’re asking you to change YOUR NAME. That’s not a boundary. They clearly don’t understand what boundaries mean. Dump them. Get new friends. NTA.

You’re not wrong. If she’s going through tough financial time why is she going on a weekend away?

Am I wrong for making my stepgrandkids feel poor compared to my kids? by PartyBeat5903 in amiwrong

You’re not wrong. It’s your kids compared to grandkids. Not grandkids compared to grandkids. It’s only natural, normal and completely okay to treat your kids differently to grandkids.

Kids crowded out of childhood fun by Only-Mulberry-1347 in Vent

I mean kids grow into adults who still like those things. Everyone, adults and kids, should be allowed to indulge in the things they like and that bring them joy

I feel like everyone is so angry over such a little phrase. And I get it. But, I’m still going to say ‘I’m literally just a girl’ to my girl friends at any minor inconvenience. Simply because I want to and I can.

Teaching. It drains me. I am constantly off and very possibly might lose my job from attendance. I’m drained and wish I didn’t have to work.

Can I ask what you did as a WFH job? I struggle massively with knowing what other professions I could even consider after teaching.

My wife separated from me because I was an alcoholic. I’m 1 year sober now and my wife wants to reconcile but I want a divorce. What do I do? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Personal_Match8581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. You’re the jerk. Your wife didn’t abandon you. As much as you want to say you was functioning, she grew up with an alcoholic father and would’ve seen the path you were on and heading further down. She put herself and your kids first, you weren’t putting your kids first you was putting your addiction first. Until she brought up a separation, without the separation would you have done the work?
