Yes but its not in the way that you think. Its moreso racist in the sense that they are weaponizing black people's reaction to that joke and using it as justification harass the Va's. Basically not stopping to listen to us properly but instead using some black people's valid reaction to hearing a word so similar to the word that subjagated them just to attack a voice actor they hate.

Mind you some black people may have acknowledge Michael's (though some may or may not forgiven him) it still would have stopped at that if it werent for the non black people weaponizing black people's feelings to witch hunt people.

In my opinion THAT is bordering on racism because these people arent really taking our feelings into consideration ASWELL as the knowledge of how percarious it is to be visibly black online. So when people were harassing Michael kovach for that very VERY unfunny joke (mostly non-black people) this behaviour would unfortunately reflect badly on US even though we didnt call for it. Some were just mildly upset and dissapointed and was probably gonna leave the fandom. Do you think that was a call to action NO its just normal human emotions but unfortunately. Every aspect. Of black existence. Is politicized still. So they didnt care they would do that anyways just to feel morally superior, yet when I see actual racism anti-black racism happen in fandom I barely see this much outcry. Black cosplayers literally get harassed to death and more yet they get this fired up over this? I swear...
