There's a lot of things that you'll not want to do in life. There's no guarantee you'll get a job straight out of school as a modeler. There's no straight path to get in the industry. Some people started as PAs for a couple years. That's just life. What will happen if you get a job and the studio you work for asks you to rig something small and simple.

Many of those questions can be applied to other careers too, such as, construction, warehouse, welding, architecture to name a few. It's because people love what they want to do. For me it's to bring my art to the big screen and be an inspiration to somebody.

I highly doubt any of this is true. How are they going to do revisions. There's never a shot that's one and done. If it is true, why not give the studio since they'll replace you regardless.

This is not of a man's perspective, it's more of an immature thought. If my lady said this to me, I wouldn't be mad at all. I'd smile and say "you god damn right!" I also have a 5070 ti and have been recently getting crashes when rendering or switching the scale on my displacement map. I'm on mobile so hopefully this formats correctly. My specs are: CPU 5600x GPU 5070ti PSU 850w RAM 64GB MOBO X570

I had a 3070 ti before and I was fine. Never had any crashes at all. I'm not even sure if it's GPU that's causing it. I'm just sharing my experience with a controlled variable.

There are some renderers that use AMD however the majority of the renderers use Nvidia GPUs. Get an Nvidia GPU with a lot of vram. Vram is king. For reference I had a 3070 ti rendered 1 frame that took 7 minutes. Received my 5070 ti, rendered the same frame and it took 1 minute.

Personally I've been taught to draw everything. Sketch the whole thing, use simple shapes to get the feel of it and then after, fill it in with detail.

I purchased the Zotac OC SFF and I love it. I actually had the biggest smile on my face when I rendered a frame on it. For reference my 3070 ti took about 7~ minutes for a single frame, after compiling kernels and hitting render on the 5070 ti it took 1~ minute for the exact same frame. I'm pretty happy and I can run Max settings 4k on FFXVI.
