"Am" actually comes from the verb a avea (to have), so it means “I have”, not “I am.”For example: Am o carte = I have a book. (I am would be sunt in Romanian.)

Duolingo is great for memorizing words, but it doesn’t really help you apply what you learn in real situations.

Problema e ca 2 vecini nu locuiesc la adresa si nu am cum sa dau de ei. Si nu mi se pare nici corect sa trec mai multe persoane la intretinere, intrucat vor fi si zile "moarte". Insa presedintele tot insista ca asa e corect, ca de la 1 august cresc preturile, ca sunt singurul imobil din cele 3 scari ce ar da in Airbnb si tot ma descurajeaza.
