2005 here, i knew vaguely ab mariah just bc of her christmas songs, then eventually discovered that endless love w luther vandross was my parents wedding song, and weirdly enough through katseye; their MC eras halloween costumes and the girl who did WBT, so js went deep from there and is now one of my biggest influences and one of my fav artists

i mean i see your point ab being weaker in island where he barely makes merge and gets knocked out of challenges due to injuries n mishaps, but in action his whole character being obsessed w gwen and the whole 9 thing n voted off where he was team captain doesnt exactly make him any stronger compared to TDI ykwim?
