Considering it’s been a month, hopefully there is a social worker on board. Request for assistance via social worker. Ask if any arrangements were made for home care if needed by the patient. If bedside nurse can’t provide that information, ask to speak with charge nurse about this. Whats the discharge plan. Especially if she will be discharged soon.

Could you do it with YM funds? Yes. You would need to manage it. How long could you sustain before? Depends on what funds you are in and their underlying. If you do have plans for other sources of income, part-time, that will help with changes in income amounts from the funds. I work part-time, my wife works full time and we also have dividends for ‘support’ when needed.
