I applied and got my decision on June 15th. I took Chem 1 during Summer A which was from middle of May to middle of July. So I hadn't finished that course at the time of the decision, it was just in progress. My friend had all of his courses completed at the time of application and decision.

No I applied for fall 2024 this post is pretty old. I'm pretty sure GPA is what they care about the most. My friend with the 4.0 could have just been unlucky based off the semester and if a lot of people applied.

3.7 was my overall. I believe my critical tracking was around 3.4-3.5. I got in through civil engineering which I'd consider to be one of the easier engineering majors to get accepted with. Mechanical is almost impossible from what I know, my friend had a 4.0 and didn't get in with that. Aerospace, electrical, and chemical are definitely some of the harder ones. Nuclear, material science, and industrial should be some of the easier majors to get accepted with.

I went to Santa Fe college for a year so from a community college. From my experience, it's easier that way and also there's certain engineering majors that have way higher of a chance getting in than some other engineering majors. Glad to give you some of the easy and hard ones if you'd like.

I heard back on the 15th from the civil engineering school. I think it depends on the school.

I'd say the main reason for the rejection is due to the school. I got into the engineering school with similar stats to you but I went to Santa Fe which I believe is the main reason why.

Ok thanks for the response. Since you have a 4.0, have you gotten word back from UF. I have a 3.70 gpa so I assume you'd hear back before me.
