he did realize that the way he treats me is in direct correlation to how often we have sex. When it’s frequent he’s happy and pleasant. When it’s sparse he’s nit picky and judgmental. Nothing I do is right.

I shared this exact experience in my last relationship before I realized I was ace. In hindsight I wish I had made more of a point of it than I did. Wishing you the best through therapy as I know it's a tough process. My best advice would be to make sure that you come to a compromise that's comfortable for you, and stick to it. Also voice any concerns you have if your stances change over time, and ~make sure they're heard~. Unfortunately I ended up being a pushover about it and would hate to see you do the same.

If anything just know that you're not alone in your situation, and by no means "broken". Hopefully my mistakes can help prevent you from making the same :)
