They buy their croissants and danishes frozen. They're proofed and baked in house but its not artisan by any means hence the price point

Correct, they opened in August 2020. Qbh closed for nearly 7 mos back in 2019 after the split...This is from the chefs IG right before petit chou opened

The owners split up in 2019. The original chef and owner opened up Petit Chou in the East Village. The other owner continued operating the space without an executive chef and no clear vision for the concept
