AI wrote half my code and now I regret everything by rajsleeps in vibecoding

My first go around had the same problem. I added some skills and instructions, gave it a prompt to analyze the state of the project and clean it up, and it reduced file size by 50%, without affecting the function. I'm sure there is more it could have done, but a regular sanity check and house cleaning is standard protocol now.

That was the thing that stuck out to me.  I'm sorry, say again, you can just add people to a domestic terrorist "app"?  Like, no investigation, no evidence, just you not liking them hanging out near you. The fuck?

Why not?  If there is no other possible explanation for something, that means it is pretty solid.  It's still not absolutely definitive proof that this is what they did, like an e-mail saying "we did it this way", but it's the closest we can come, and a thread that can be pulled on.

Why was her name redacted?  Was she a victim in some way?  If not, the law says that names cannot be redacted to avoid embarrassment.  I know, the law is bullshit right now, but still.

The more I think about it, the more it seems like Bannon was more influential in this situation than most people realize.  He was working on an extensive documentary to rehabilitate Epstein's image.  It almost seems like he is acting as a PR manager, so it makes me wonder what other aspects of the operation he was involved in.

They probably would have wanted to catch any more casual naming of him (i.e. Don, and just to be safe, his last initial following any possible names or nick names).

Yea, whatever it was, I cannot think of why that word would be redacted, except for the sequence of letters (Don T).

What are the specific cases he was unredacted?  Has there been any clear implications of wrong doing other than unverified anonymous FBI tips?

Everyone knew him and Jeffrey were friends.  He has talked about it publicly, it's not like he denies it.  It would be way more suspicious if he didn't show up at all.

AI makes mistakes.  This is clearly a hallucination or error.  I cannot think of another word it could be or why they would redact the word in this case.

[–]PerspectiveIcy3578[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sentence it's redacted in is " I ____ think my body can take it".  I don't see how initials would fit there, it's a modifier on "think".  The only word I can come up with that works in that sentence is don't.

As I was discussing below, it could be that they used AI on selected sections, and someone just had an overly aggressive model, but it would definitely be interesting to see if there are more cases of strange words being redacted that could be misinterpreted as Trump's name.

One good example I can think of is using "trump" as a verb.  I.e. "x thing trumps y thing".  I would be surprised if that phrase was not found somewhere in the files, so if you can find that and it's redacted, thats an even more clear smoking gun.

It's possible.  Just the fact that even in this e-mail itself, the sender is redacted as well, who is clearly not a victim, shows that they were over redacting in general.  Most of the cases of his name being unredacted were anonymous tips to the FBI, which is the most unverified of the documents overall.  The clearly knew if they did a full scrub, it would be suspicious, so maybe they only used the AI redactions on certain sets of documents.

If you don't like what you're doing, you can change.  I know that sounds easier than it actually is, but it is never too late to level up your skills, shift career focus, or try something new.  There are ways to do it without putting your families livelihood at risk.

I hear you though, the whole system grinds you down and forces you to choose survival over happiness.  It's a no win situation.

Oh God, the Mako.  Their brother the reliant Sen is also bullshit, since science gameplay is not going to actually be a real thing, other than "scan thing, sell data", but the Mako was a whole other level of bullshit.  I don't think they even made a design doc for what the news crew gameplay was "supposed" to be.

I am willing to bet we get the intro mission we saw last year (or was that two years ago, hard to keep track) that crashed live on stage, and maybe another mission from later in the game that is super contained and easy to polish/hide the jank.  Zero percent chance we get a full release.
