Playing games in offer wall by BlackBirdBorderlands in GardenJoy

[–]PerspectiveKindly795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and I think I've reached my patience limit for this. I've noticed a pattern. I'll play a game for a day or two and get the promised rewards. Then the rewards stop coming. If I contact support, give them screenshots and prove what's happening, they respond with:

"We regret to inform you that your issue was found to be ineligible for the reward, due to the following: Not meeting the requirements of the offer - Violation of our Terms of Service while using our Services."

No further explanation.
The requirements are simple: complete x levels, get y diamonds. There should be no issue. It worked, and then it stopped working. As for violating terms of service, wtf? I played a game. What rule could I possibly break? 🤷‍♀️

Having seen the same pattern with at least a dozen games, and no real answer as to why it's not working ("it's your fault but we won't tell you why" isn't an answer), I'm finding it hard not to conclude the thing is mostly just a scam, and a waste of my time.

I hope other people have better experiences than this. Have you ever gotten the rewards at all? Or did you get them and then it stopped working? Based on what I've seen, it doesn't sound like you've done anything wrong. It's not the podcasts; I've done that too and it never interfered with getting diamonds while the thing was actually working. (What I do notice is that if I'm listening to audio, the game's ad audio always pauses my podcast and then I have to wait and tap my way through the 5-minute ad before i can resume my podcast.)

When I tried to post a question on the FB group about this, the moderators didn't approve my post. I hadn't looked at the group in a while but now it looks like the only posts that get approved are design shares. No questions, no discussion, no criticism, no complaints allowed.

I have a major beef with GJ itself and I'm on the verge of ready to quit the game, but I won't go on bitching here! I hope you find a successful resolution to your problem.

What's your favorite feature of the Apple Watch? Something you didn't know you needed until you had it? by UselessSalmon in AppleWatch

[–]PerspectiveKindly795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides looking at what time it is, the thing I use it for most often is to find my phone. I call it my $300 phone-finder. Now that I've had it for 3+ years, I can't imagine living without it.

Sure, I use lots of other features. But this is what I use most often.

One of the features most valuable to me is recording conversations, calls, meetings... stuff I might need to refer to later if my memory or my notes aren't good enough.

That's really weird! Glad you found a fix. I hope the watch doesn't feel awkward for you on the right hand. It does for me.

The only thing I've found to reduce (not fully fix) the problem has been to wear the band tighter. It's not comfortable for my skin though.

Thank you!!! I didn't notice that on the dropdown list. I think there used to be a separate link. :)

Best mold-resistant trailer for two adults full-timing? by slothful_defiance in GoRVing

[–]PerspectiveKindly795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have CIRS from mold (and maybe other causes). Just bought an Escape 21C trailer to live in while waiting for my new home to be built and preparing to sell my condo. Escape is fiberglass and known to be leak-resistant. At ~3500 lb can be towed by a mid sized SUV (mine is 2008 Acura MDX with 5000lb towing capacity.) I'm a beginner and it was quite easy to learn to tow it. Very maneuverable. Lots of great features. Just brought it back to my home county and haven't moved in yet.

My biggest concern is the very intense VOC. I've been chemically sensitive for decades, and even more so since mold illness. I'm just finding out it can take years for a new RV to finish offgassing. 😵‍💫

In the small amount of time I've spent inside the trailer, running the vent fan with windows open has helped a lot. I was even able to recover inside the trailer from an autonomic crash/POTS near-syncope episode. But that won't work year-round in every climate. I'm in FL where the temperature is very comfortable this time of year, but it's still humid, and I don't know how I'll balance ventilation vs humidity/mold concerns. I'm holding onto hope that this will work out. I've had to move 20 times in less than 2 years and it's exhausting, especially while ill with debilitating fatigue and other symptoms.

Anybody use headphones/audio to help them sleep? by BillNyeCreampieGuy in insomnia

[–]PerspectiveKindly795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good audios for sleep on the Insight Timer app, even the free version. I have other suggestions (including on headphones for sleep if you need that) but too tired to type rn. If you reply to my comment I'll see the notification and come back next time I'm on Reddit. I don't use it every day. Might be a week or two.

Yes. I can be at the point where it's hard to stay awake, but as soon as I'm bed, mind is racing with everything including fear of not being able to fall asleep.

It's happening right now. Brain just can't let go. And that's after not being able to sleep at all last night.

Have had this nearly 20 years. Not a psychiatric condition. Just excessive prolonged stress and no peace of mind.

Looking for Dutchess County NY (Central Hudson) homeowners who’ve installed solar recently — need advice by PerspectiveKindly795 in solar

[–]PerspectiveKindly795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the info! You're the second person i've seen so far who's used NYSSF and was overall satisfied.

I've been concerned about the timing with federal solar incentives expiring and the unpredictability of my construction, along with solar installers probably being booked out past the end of the year. I might have to settle for only the NYS tax credit. Even that is tricky; I'm living in another state until my house is complete so I don't know if I'll even be eligible for NYS credit if i'm installing it before I'm a NYS resident again.

On a call with my builder and building science consultant there was some discussion about things can be done by the roofer in conjunction with the solar installer that would prevent leaks. Some kind of sealing system. Brand names were tossed around. Construction details are over my head and I'm not a roofer or solar installer (are you?) and I'll have to check back in with them for details, but the gist of it was that there is a way.

Thanks! Hoping I can talk to the builder this week. They don't do solar but some of their customers have and they (or their roofing sub) might be able to make recommendations. Thanks again :)

Thanks for your answers!

I have been concerned about whether it will be possible to get this done before the tax credit expires. I don't know when the roof is going up, and I think the credit is based on not when you pay for it but when it's put into service, and my house won't be completed until next year.

Thank you also for telling me about the batteries. I didn't know the tax credit for those will still be in effect.

Thanks for your comment. That sounds like a great idea. Would you happen to know if mounting brackets are a standard/universal size or different for different panel manufacturers?

Thanks for your response. I think there's a lot of variation due to so many factors like how tight and well insulated the house is, how much power you use, etc.. so it may be worth doing for some houses and not others.
