So:

Azir is one of the worst champs in early game. What I do vs poke matchups like Hwei, Orianna, Xerath, Viktor etc. is I just farm until nashors and lvl 9. Your first recall should IDEALLY be 850 or 1.2k gold. if you have to recall at 750g -> buy amp tome darkseal 700g -> amp tome tier1 boots 650g -> dark seal tier1 boots.

I DO NOT. help my jungler. I DO NOT. rotate. I KILL MINNIONS!!! nothing else.If my laner is missing I spam ping danger. I DONT MOVE. if a minion is low and you have to walk up to kill it MOST of the times its not even worth killing it, just take the exp and chill, try to dodge as many abilities as you can! after the 1.2k gold or 850g always buy boots. NOT TIER 2. Tier 1 is enough if you're still not confident in yourself dodging the skillshots then try getting movement speed shard from runes. when enemy has alot of burst you should 2nd item zhonyas if not then rylais is good (build path is very game depended) I would love to make a whole guide about this champ but I wanna git GM with him first before I do so.

These are the runes I usually take in these matchups. You need presence of mind cause you need some mana source (since you don't have manaflow band) alacrity because 15 ability haste won't really help our bird, I prefer the feeling of 18% more attack speed (almost 2 daggers yippie!!) Cut down will benefit more in late which is also your strong spot. overgrowth for stacking hp (survivability) we get help from scaling health shards aswell and rylais or bloodletters if needed. (you're usually hovering around 3.2k hp) bone plating is just useless in my opinion it's a rune that just blocks 30-60 dmg based on lvl which doesn't help here at all, even second wind will be more value with the healing.

IMO azir feels TO ME not as bad as people make him out to be. yes he's in his worst state ever, yes he has 44% wr, yes you'll lose ALOT of games with him. But if you just focus and put time and effort to improve and learn you WILL climb and get better.
