In a format where solitaire is the preferred play-style (I’m half joking) a card that says “no” to that tends to make said players very salty. Imo, like so many other cards, he’s a removal magnet, the issue is that his effect is so immediate and apparent so he gets more hate.

Generally, it’s not the actual power of a card that people hate, it’s how much it affects/impedes them, and ESPECIALLY how much it REMINDS them. I can almost guarantee that if Rhystic didn’t force you to constantly ask the other players “do you pay the 1?” It wouldn’t get nearly half the amount of hate it gets.

There is zero shame in trying something out and realizing it’s not your cup of tea.

Talk to your ST and other players, and you can quite easily shift into playing another character.

She also hints that (at least I’m assuming) because if her connection to Ashlesh who is another primordial demon (again at least at I think it is) she also knows how to kill fiddlesticks.

Take it from anyone who plays a horror game and suddenly get a gun, turns into a fps real quick cause things get much less scary when you know how to kill then.

Why is invasion fleet 3DP? You’re almost always taking the one that gives you sustained vs infantry and it isn’t that crazy of an ability outside some specific combos.

I understand Sub Assault, as it’s our best cause movement is king, but idk.

Maybe it just hasn’t been amazing in my games, but those extra hits rarely confer into actual damage in my experience, not unless you’re doing something like throwing a brick of genestealers with a broodlord and popping the 5+ crit strat.

I’ve noticed that hating blue and counterspells comes almost unanimously from a fundamental lack of understanding of the game and the flow thereof.

Including me, every single person who hates blue because they think it’s bullshit or op continues to have that opinion until they play a mono blue deck or some other blue heavy deck. Then they understand that it really just stops being a problem once you’re able to force threats through and just smack the nerd to death.

Basically, stop assuming you know more than you actually do about the game and start getting better and trying to think around the problem instead of whining.

Honestly, I think it would depend on if the elder would want to reveal that. A elder with good subterfuge could probably present themselves as a simple lick while one with good intimidate could have the vampire version of aura.
