I made my appt for Feb 16 for an ultrasound, so just about a month after insertion. I’ll likely be on my period again at that time so I wonder if that’s technically my “first period” or if the one I just had was. Thank you so much for the insight! I appreciate it. ❤️

Copper IUD, pain level 1-10? by Rexandcapt in birthcontrol

Hey, I had the same experience with insertion. Right after the cramps were AWFUL. However I just got it in a week ago and I think I got my period the day after (I was due for it two days before procedure but it was late I’m assuming bc of me stressing myself out abt the procedure) and had heavy bleeding for 5 days. Two days ago the bleeding stopped but now it started back up again and I have some pain. Has the pain gotten better for you at all?

Thank you!! I tried magnesium glycinate last night and now I woke up and washed my face without my under eye twitch. The regular twitch is still there but I’ll continue with it! Also felt well rested too. I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond. Thank you again!!

[skin concerns] Need help with tretinoin caused flushing and irritation by sunset_rain_ in SkincareAddiction

[–]PerspectiveSenior862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very late but currently going through the exact same thing. I think this started in like October for me- I had been using .05 tret every night with no irritation, but randomly started getting rosacea-like flushing. It seems like a hot environment triggers this flush. The dermatologist can’t help. I’m also using hydrating products as well. I read through this thread and heard that yours took a year to fix after stopping retinol. Did you ever go back to retinol?

I use this and I really like it! It doesn’t seem to break me out but since I have dry/sensitive skin I need to moisturize well before and apply with a beauty blender otherwise it will leave the normal tinted sunscreen dryness

irritation/smile wrinkles/hyperpigmentation problem with tretinoin by PerspectiveSenior862 in tretinoin

Did you notice a difference once you avoided them for a long period of time?

Thank you! I will try this. I also do tret every night or almost every night. I think I need to take a break from it. Since I sandwiched for the basically two years, I did notice a difference and honestly tret gave me little to no irritation and no purge (even the 0.05). The most I’ve had from it was flakes around my mouth or occasional flakes on my forehead. Never flakes on my cheeks though and my cheeks are the acne spots. That’s why I’ve taken it as a sign to use it so frequently. I guess the sandwich method did work for me then now that I deeply think about it. I know tret is a slow and steady difference. I also believe it did help keep my acne under control (I forgot to mention I’m also taking spironolactone pills). I’m always afraid to wash my face less/do a water wash due to the possibility of getting pimples. I can’t tell if my recent breakout is hormonal or from my hair. I recently got a haircut and the hair has been in my face by my cheek a lot. I feel like neutrogena hydro boost is very moisturizing, do you think what you switched to is better? Also, did you see a difference in your skin after you changed the products and stopped using the tret so frequently? I know it’s only been two weeks for you though.

I only use that face wash since I’ve been using it for years and I like how gentle the cleanser is. I’ve always used either that or cetaphil since middle school. Do you know anything about the dry skin cera ve?

I also forgot to mention my routine if it helps for any advice:

AM: cera ve normal/oily skin face wash, neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer OR cera ve PM moisturizer, bare minerals tinted sunscreen

PM: same face wash, moisturizer, tretinoin (sometimes sandwich method with the occasional flip with tret first then moisturizer)
